So last busy season I took an internship with a top 20 firm who unknowing to me hires a lot of interns and then cuts them lose after.

Since I graduate here in December, this fall is my last easy chance for another internship/job through school. I’m just a little confused what to put on my resume as to what I did as I don’t know what is normal or standard that everyone does in the accounting world.

    – Did both full audits and tax returns (1065 and 1120) (some first time new clients)

    – Prepared MRLs, transmittal letters, and financial statement notes and opinions

    – Did 754 adjustments step up or down for death or transfer of ownership (this was interesting as very few staff people even knew how to do this. I became the go to guy as an intern for this)

    – Client visits (only intern to do this)

This could all be standard stuff, I’m just not sure.

I would probably put exactly what you put on here, just wordsmith it a little. be concise, but also descriptive

I agree with Monkey – perhaps specify on the audit side. Were the manufacturers, banks, etc…? Internal control testing, inventory price testing, etc..? Don't sell yourself short by being too vague.
