My NTS for FAR expires 8/3, but I wont be close to being prepared to take the exam. I know getting an NTS extended is slim to none, but what if I just don’t take the exam with that NTS? Can I apply for a new NTS right away and take the exam at the end of August? Or will the expiration of my NTS on 8/3 prohibit me from taking the exam in August?

I’m on my last section and feel like I’d rather take the loss and allow myself two good shots at FAR than one before I lose REG 11/30.

How long have you been studying for FAR?

and in terms of NTS, it really depends on your state board on what the rules will be. In South Dakota, if you don't show-up, it will be treated as you sat on 8/3 and you will not be eligible until October…..
