NTS/Scheduling Questions

    Hi All,

I am a Minnesota CPA candidate and have passed three sections, with AUD being my last remaining exam. I lose FAR on 11/30/2014 so it gives me two cracks at the AUD exam. I am scheduling AUD for sometime later in August to give me the maximum amount of time to study, as there really is no benefit in scheduling it earlier. So my question is, let’s say I schedule AUD for August 20th, making my score release sometime early in September. If I DO NOT pass in August, do you think that I will be able to apply for AUD in September, get my NTS, and still be able to have time to schedule AUD near the end of November? Has anyone had similar experience with this? I just don’t want to end up with a delay in getting my NTS and not being able to schedule AUD in Q4.

    Thanks everyone.

How long does it usually take for your NTS to arrive? I usually get my NTS via email (in Florida) within 2 business days of applying so that would not be a problem at all for me, but I have read a few people (not sure which states) that don't get their NTS for a couple of weeks. What are your past NTS experiences like?

CPA Exam - Finally DONE (November 2014)
    BEC (08/10/13) 80
    AUD (08/24/13) 65 (11/13/13) 85
    FAR (04/12/14) 81
    REG (07/19/14) 69 (11/29/14) 87!!

I'm in CT and always got my NTS within 2-3 business days of paying for it. If your previous NTS experience has been quick, you should be fine.

Beyond what others have posted, the trouble might be with scheduling times w/ Prometric. Apparently they open up times at the beginning of the month, so keep that in mind.

There are two Prometric sites really close to the Twin Cities, and two others if you're willing to drive an hour or two. I don't think you'll have an issue getting scheduled, and I've always gotten my NTS within a day or two of applying for it, so I think you'd be safe.

    FAR - 79 (11/27/13)
    AUD - 76 (2/1/14)
    REG - 77 (5/30/14)
    BEC - 88 (7/18/14)

    MN Ethics - 100% (3/9/14)

    AND DONE! 8/1/14
