Hi,
I received a final offer to intern at a public accounting firm that is the largest in my state (it is even larger than any one of Big 4 in my area).
I need to RSVP for the Offer Night soon, and was wondering whether I would need to accept the offer when it is presented to me that night. There is a time allocated for “office tours and offers” followed by “celebratory dinner” with firm members.
Do I get to come home and think about it before making the decision of whether to accept or decline the offer, or do I need to sign the offer document right away when it was offered to me?
I really love the culture and reputation of the firm that extended the offer, so I am really thankful about the offer, but I still have not yet completed decided which firm I would like to work for if I get offers from this firm and another firm (another firm is one of the big 4 and I have the second-round interview scheduled next week).
I was also told that it is possible to receive the final offer during the last interview (probably with a partner) with the Big 4. Same in that case, do I get to come home and think about it before telling them yes or no?
Please let me know 🙂
Thank you so much for your advice in advance.
