2 Years. 2 Years I have spent countless hours studying for the CPA. I am so proud of myself, but I also have to say I have had many tears and prayed more than I ever have in my life.
Audit was my enemy (2 74's back to back). I passed BEC and REG quickly, but it took me over a year to pass audit. (I took a total of 10 tests!). I will pray for those still taking the test. I definitely have to thank Ninja CPA Review for giving me the edge to get over 74 for FAR and Audit.
AUD - 81 BEC - 75 FAR - 77 REG - 77

@CollegeAthletetoCPA Haha that is so awesome! We deserve to cry over this! My wife actually found out the score before me, she said she'd call after she got to work and looked up my score, but she found out in the car and surprised me with balloons. She recorded the entire thing and she made a cool video of it with some happy music, I watched it in my office and tears came down and my coworker came in as I was crying lol, but hey no embarrassment, passing the CPA exam is worth the man tears!
Just curious, what sport did you play in college? And I'm guessing it was for BSU, correct?
What a long journey this has been (exactly 1 year and 3 months of torture)!! I am sooooo happy to be done and can finally post on this thread! Looking forward to the future and finally getting my life back. Yay!! 🙂
@Nate SO awesome!!!! Congratulations. Enjoy your celebrations. What an awesome wife! That is a great way to find out. I wasn't even expecting to know so early today. My stomach hurt all morning thinking about it, and refreshing my NASBA screen and seeing a 76 (so close) was amazing/ My work is having a pizza party today, and got beers! Ha ha – I played volleyball at Boise State! My cousin just graduated from U of O, so I can't hate too much 🙂
I had my doubts about REG because I had a feeling that I had bombed the SIMs. Got my results today and I passed with an 89. It's been almost exactly a year and one month since I started studying for these tests. Glad to be done!
@CollegeAthletetoCPA – That's so cool! A supportive office does make a huge difference, and that's funny because I think I overheard two of the partners (the other partners is gone at a NASBA conference of all places!) talking about getting pizza as a surprise for me passing, but they don't talk as quietly as they think. And that's really cool you were a college athlete, I'm very jealous, I had dreams of playing basketball at the UofO but turns out you have to work hard to be a college athlete! At least I was able to work hard to become a CPA. You must have a very strong work ethic to be a college athlete and CPA, that's something you definitely should be proud of.
