Happy Thursday everybody! I’m exactly one month away from a FAR retake. What are your best study practices as you get closer to the exam? I want to maximize my studying (I work full-time, so study time is limited). Any advice or personal experiences are greatly appreciated!

For me, as the exam gets closer I make a point to spend more time reviewing the chapters I have completed. Review in short spurts either before bed or in the car. I am talking like 10-20 minutes to focus on maybe a 1/2 or 1 chapter worth of notes you took. It is great to sit down and see/memorize some of that info while your brain is fresh and not tired. For example, if you are in the middle of chapter 8 of FAR, randomly go back and look at chapter 2 for 15 minutes before you go to bed.

It is also important to re-do some MC questions for the math heavy areas you've already seen.

Finally, if you need a day away from the new material/lectures, spend the day reviewing other chapters. It's better than not doing anything and it actually feels really good to see everything again. Maybe it's just me, but in the back of my mind I'm always thinking, “geez I really need to look at (insert confusing subject) again.”

All that said, the best advice is to just keep pushing.

    FAR- 92 (7/25/2014)
    AUD- 93 (8/30/2014)
    REG- 93 (10/10/2014)
    BEC- 91 (11/10/2014)

Using Becker self-study only. Working full-time.

Thanks @playonwards! I do agree with the things you said. I'm trying to review becker flashcards daily. Even if it's only for a little amount of time (20 minutes a day). I think at this point it is just review, review, review. I don't want to waste my time re-writing notes, but I know that helps a lot of people. And i think I need to just work mass loads of MCs.
