Online Ethics Exam Completion Question

I just completed the Ethics Exam after procrastinating three months from my final exam and thankfully I’ve passed. I’m in Illinois and I was wondering if there is anything further I have to do in order for Illinois to receive the Ethics Exam passing score. Its crazy how little direction and information is available for the Ethics requirement. Illinois doesn’t offer much direction, it would be great if there was a step-by-step process for submission of the remaining docs/fulfilling requirements after successful completion of these really tough exams. For others that have gotten to this point, will my state send me something in the mail after they receive my score? Will they send me something about my work experience requirements, etc.? Any info. would be much appreciated. Hope everyone is doing well and good luck to all of you!

I am in a similar situation. I hope someone out there has been through this and explain it here. 🙂

Damn you vile CPA! Victory shall be mine.

I am in IL too and emailed the ILBOA. They said the AICPA sends them your Ethics score and it takes about a week or two to post. I completed the Ethics exam 2 weeks ago and I'm still waiting for the results to post.

Where can you check if the ethics score has posted?

Just finished the process and got licensed in Illinois. Took about 3 weeks from when application mailed to license number received. There is a section on the ILBOA website where you can have your scores emailed to IDFPR at no cost.

    Goto ilboa.org

at top of screen click ONLINE SYSTEm and log in

on the right, under the heading Your Certification, click on Certified Public Accountant

then onleft click on Verification Certification

at bottom click next and complete the info.

This is advisable because you will have a record that your scores were sent to idfpr.

With respect to your scores, they will all post on the ilboa website when they are received, including the ethics score. just log into the online system you will see them. You can have aicpa resend your ethics score to ilboa if needbe.

with respect to the experience requirement, you need to have one year experience and get signed off by someone who will attest to your experience. the person does not need to be a cpa.

ILBOA is quite pleasant to deal with. So if you want to know if they have your scores, just call them. They answer the phone and are very helpful. If they tell you they have your scores and have sent them to idfpr, I would still follow the steps above to have all your info electronically sent to idfpr
