In light of Jeff’s way cool contests,have you ever won a raffle or lottery? I won $50 last year in a raffle, and another time a basket of Starbucks coffees. But I’m hoping to be able to say I won an ipad3 tomorrow!

I won a $100 membership to Beta Alpha Psi, but ended up not joining because I had to wear suits and go to meetings every week…..I could not afford a suit and did not know my way around dangerous Miami… :'(

I won a winch rope at a 4×4 expo about 5 years ago ($150 value) and some snowboard gear ($100 value) when I was a kid. Both were raffles with relatively few entries.

I won an appearance on the Jim Kelly show, an autographed Jim Kelly jersey, and a Buffalo Bills key holder when I was very young in 1988. My dad had submitted my name in the drawing and it won…so in the middle of a Buffalo winter my parents bundled me up, drove me down to WGRZ Chanel 2 station to meet Jim Kelly and be on his show. I was super nerdy back then….I had these clunky glasses and looked like ralphie from A Christmas Story. I was so excited my grandpa helped me make print this banner to bring on the show on his cutting edge EPSON using Harvard Graphics and an ASCII printer….my grandpa was an epidemiologist/health statistician who was always way ahead of his generation with computers.

Jim Kelly says to me “hey kid you look like one of those smart ones I can tell…”
