Thanks for checking. Our “adopted” son works about a mile away as a property accountant. He had a nightmare commute home but was grateful his impact was no more than a nuisance. It just seems surreal, I see familiar streets but it looks like a movie being filmed there. Devastating since the city had so many out of town guests today and it is a fun state holiday. I don't normally get spooked but I think I'll avoid Fenway Park this year 🙁

I agree, @mla. It's spooky seeing the streets you know on tv. My boyfriend and I almost went for the day since we both had it off. Thank goodness we stayed home.

I was in shock when I heard the news. It happened down the street from my company. I was scared to get on the T. I felt so relieved when I made it home. I worked from home today because we can't go in our building until tomorrow. Scary stuff. Stay safe.

Tootsie DID you get on the T? You are much braver than I! There are very few things I know with certainty but the one is if I had to walk 19 miles to get home I would have!!

I'm guessing you're working from home again today, sounds like the same area is still closed today.

I have been in Boston (Allston) for almost a year, and have taken the T a grand total of 3 times! I am on the Boston U line too, and it's like a can of sardines…young, annoying sardines 🙂

@mla1169, yep, I got on the T (orange line). Our building opened today so I was able to come in. Some people worked from home again. The Copley area is still closed off. Did you know that President Obama will be in Boston tomorrow? The commute will be interesting.
