Hey Guys,
I’ve been fortunate enough to take REG, AUD and BEC this summer, and I currently have FAR scheduled for the first of October.
With this in mind, I start work at a Big 4 firm on the 6th and commence with training in NYC for several weeks after my start date. Yesterday, I had surgery to fix my lower abdominal wall (hernia related), and the next few days will be spent on pain medications and plenty of fluids. Studying is definitely being hindered.
I’m approximately half way through the material (definitely haven’t mastered yet, it’s tough as you all know), and I’m looking for your advice regarding possible postponement of my test date. I’m worried that if I postpone it past October 1st, I’ll be forced to study while training (training is meant to be chance to network at night as well obviously) and while working. I’m not worried about studying while working seeing as many of you handle much more when studying.
With that in mind, I don’t want to fumble the ball on the goal line here. I don’t want to rush FAR and fail. If I do, I have to wait til January to retake.
My current idea is to push back to the end of a scoring period within the window to reduce waiting time and afford myself a few additional weeks to review and study.
I value your thoughts and concerns regardless of your scores.
Thanks Guys!
