My home is dry. We are built up high so I think we will be okay.
For those who aren’t watching the news, overnight the northwest Florida panhandle had 27 inches of rain. There is widespread devastation. A river is now flowing between my neighbor’s house and ours (we don’t have a river in our neighborhood, but we do now). The water has no were to go. Homes are falling into sinkholes, bridges and highways are collapsing everywhere as they are just being washed out.
I’m away at training in Texas till this weekend. Its mortifying to see the photos. I can barely study now because when I get on the computer I just keep switching to the local news channels who are posting more and more photos of the area.
I know I’ve met some people from here at the prometric center that live in my area. I’m praying everyone is okay.
How to focus??? My last test is on Tuesday. I’ve no choice but to keep focusing, but this is really tough. Every break in class today I’ve had to call home to make sure no water in the house. Normally I am doing flashcards during breaks, but that is too hard. These are precious minutes where I should be studying, but I can’t seem to be able to think of anything else but home.
