Just when I was feeling happy, work and personal issues just blow up. Came home early and haven’t gotten out of bed since…just venting I guess…

Ok, I just realized that I am getting into a funk about everything today cause I am fearful of failing this exam…I texted and called my Dad yesterday that I passed my third exam and he texted today and said “Congratulations! Keep moving forward”, now some people might think that is very nice, but in my mind I read “You should have been farther in your life by now and I am very disappointed in you. You need to get to a place where I can be proud of you.”

Sorry for the TMI posts…but that's why I titled it OT…

Heh….on a similar topic….. I got licensed last week (thank you for noticing, BTW;)) so I texted a few of my friends/coworkers. It was a Saturday morning. Two of them didn't care to reply, including the one I went out with the night before….who BTW has been trying to pass the exam too. And yesterday they BOTH came up with similar excuses – out of town, no reception, didn't get any messages after I got reception or my phone died and then I was out of the house….. I really don't get it……

So, don't worry about it! I'm sure you misinterpreted or your father doesn't really realize how hard the exam is – probably the latter because when I called my mom she wasn't too enthusiastic about the news….. My supervisor told me he was proud of me and asked if he should salute me now!!! So yeah….expectations…. guess it's better to have none…… 🙁

Tough Kitty, CPA, I guess she knows how smart you are. But then again, an Accountant who has been able to pass the CPA exam in 6 months would be considered smart among his peers, but merely a person with average intelligence compare to a MIT graduate.
