Over Confidence an Issue?

I have my AUD exam in 10 days (Hopefully my last), but I am nervous that I am almost over-studying and getting over-confident in doing so. It’s almost to the point that I think things are too easy and even overthink sometimes when my gut reaction is usually correct. I’ve been going with my gut more and that is helping, but I still am scoring 90-100% on all my practice exams (I do 10 questions quizzes) and feel like this test is going to be a piece of cake. It is my last one so that is why I am trying to pull out all the stops and just hammer this baby because I want to be done and I have that extra motivation .Funny how over-confidence can maybe lead to under-confidence?

Looking for any input and thoughts. Maybe personal experiences of feeling the same way?

    BEC: 77
    REG: 54, 76
    FAR: 54, 84
    AUD: 64, 70, 90!
    I'm done!!

The only thing that I would be weary of is that you've memorized the questions in your test bank. Maybe get another test bank to study with for these remaining 10 days to see if you did memorize the other questions or if you really know the stuff. Ninja is only $47 so if you're really worried about it, you could try that. OR stop the quizzing and just focus on going over notes, maybe even rewriting your notes (that helped me pass AUD) so that you are reinforcing the concepts and not quizzing.

    Thanks for the response @Mamabear

I am switching to only notes and sims for the next few days. I do not think I have memorized questions. Maybe 1 out of 10 I think I know the answer right away, but I still work really hard on running through the problem and WHY that is the answer. Although as I think of it, it is very beneficial knowing the answer before trying to answer the question. I have been wary of this however.

AUD was my last section and I thought, “Compared to REG or FAR, it should be a breeze.”

My overconfidence cost me and I failed the first time.

So, approach each section, no matter how well you think you've prepared, with caution and same dedication.

    FAR - 86
    REG - 85
    BEC - 90
    AUD - 84

Agreed with mamabear, most ppl fail because they memorised the TB questions and think they are prepared. To avoid this, u must know why other answers is not right as well…hope this help

I'm working on my last exam, and I'm afraid of overconfidence too. Not because I know the info well, because I don't, yet (still working through the material). But, because I passed the other 3 on my first try, so I don't want to “assume” that I'll do the same thing this time.

I recently read another post where that happened to someone – they passed the first 3 on the first try, and got overconfident thinking that they would pass the last one on the first try too, BUT they didn't. Argh!!

Take your time. Remember the level of concentration and focus that you put towards the other exams.

MAKE SURE you're giving this one the same OR MORE level of respect.

There ain't NO free rides with these exams.

It ain't over till it's REALLY over.

    FAR - 86 - 2/27/14
    AUD - 75 - 5/29/14
    BEC - 80 - 8/31/14
    REG - 89 - 2/27/15
    Praise Jesus! I'm done!!

    Wiley test bank
