Since I started studying for the CPA exams, I have been on this roller coaster ride that I’m sure everyone can relate to.

Jan 2012 – got a full time job as a Staff Accountant with a cool biotech company in San Diego; started my CPA journey

Apr, Jul, Oct, Nov 2012 – took four exams but passed none… realized I must have been missing something

Feb 2013 – discovered Jeff’s awesome Another 71 site, Ninja Notes and Audio

May 2013 – passed FAR!!!!

June til Sept 2013 – studying on and off but got totally distracted when my mom came to visit from abroad

Oct 2013 – found out I was pregnant!!!! the happiest day of my life! 🙂

Dec 2013 – got laid off from my job 🙁

Jan 2014 – decided to buckle down and finish my exams before baby comes; signed up for Roger CPA and supplemented with Ninja Notes & Audio

Feb, Mar and May 2014 – passed AUD, BEC and REG! my baby is such a lucky charm!

I’m due in 3 days and I’m in cloud 9 that I finally passed THE CPA EXAM!!!!!

Thank you Jeff for your great site and invaluable materials. I have not been very active in the forum but I have been reading posts especially when I needed extra motivation while studying. There are times when I felt like giving up but your forum kept me going.

You all have been truly inspiring. Goodluck to those who are still on their journey and congratulations to all of us who finally crossed the bridge!!!!!

ChocoLady I love your story! Im so happy for you! OMG passing the exam AND a baby – what a gift from God!

Your story inspires me. I have 2 tests down and am taking BEC Saturday and am really praying for a pass. My husband and I agreed years ago that I would have 3 parts passed before we started to try for a baby. I couldn't imagine doing this with a newborn and have heard so many stories where women are sick during their pregnancy. I dream of passing BEC Saturday and telling my patient husband that the time is ours!

Great job!! Be very happy you passed before children! I have 3 kids and I have had to take summers off work to study because working full time + 3 kids leaves zero study time. Good luck with your delivery and congrats on the new addition! 🙂

@HeartsMimiCPA – haha! that would have been hilarious if we had a girl – Jeffina is very fitting but I think my kids will hate me for the rest of her life

@DeterminedCPA – I also made an agreement with my husband about passing the exam before having a baby, but hey – blessings come when it's time! I can definitely say that my studying kicked ten notches up after I found out I was pregnant so keep your heads up! Praying for a strong pass for you on Saturday.

@CPA.hopeful.2013 – I truly admire moms like you who have the determination to keep going despite your ultra busy life. Goodluck with your exam tomorrow!
