I passed them under New york jurisdiction.. I have 133 credit hours and not 150 (i’m going to do a Master’s degree next year) and i also have some work experience but not under a CPA, Although i am going to start with a big4 in september….. but i’m worried about something. will i ever lose credit for the exams? and do i have to know anything apart from the 150 academic credit hours and the 1 year work experience under a CPA? for New York?

Wish you all the best of luck!

Wish I had a better answer for you regarding whether or not scores will expire, but I believe the answer is “it depends.” I've read on here some people say their state considers them expired after like 5 years, but other states never expire. I'd email your state board and ask because they don't seem to make that info easy to find-I'm in Missouri and have absolutely no idea how they handle it.

Yeah, it's not easy to find– you usually have to dig into state law to find it. Oregon is pretty clear in our OARS, and so I looked at NYS law and didn't see anything, but being silent on it doesn't necessarily mean they never expire.

    I did find Missouri: https://www.sos.mo.gov/adrules/csr/current/20csr/20c2010-2.pdf

Under 20 CSR 2010-2.061 Requirements for an

    Initial License to Practice:

    (1) Applicants for initial licensure shall meet

the education requirements outlined in 20 CSR

    2010-2.041 and successfully complete the

examination requirements as outlined in 20

CSR 2010-2.150. Commencing on January 1,

2012, if the time elapsed since the applicant

    has successfully completed the examination

requirement exceeds five (5) years, the applicant

must complete forty (40) hours of continuing

    professional education (CPE), including

two (2) hours in the area of ethics and—

    (A) That person submits evidence to the

board that he or she has completed forty (40)

hours of CPE during the twelve (12) months

prior to making application for licensure; or

    (B) That person agrees to obtain the

required forty (40) hours of CPE within sixty

    (60) days of applying for licensure.

How did you manage to land a job with big4 without 150? That's like the first thing they asked.
