Passing FAR without finishing SIMS?

Hi guys, have any of you passed the FAR exam leaving sims completely blank? I just took FAR at the end of July and the anticipation of receiving my score is KILLING me. I walked out of the exam almost positive that I failed because I had left 2 simulations completely blank. The worst part is looking back at it I knew the material I just did not pace myself well with time at the end. I finished the rest of the simulations and did not feel too great about them but I knew somethings I was putting down were correct. The only SIM i know I got 100% correct was the research sim but I hear that is not worth much….

Right now I am in a weird limbo phase because I do not know my score but I’m pretty sure I failed. I don’t know if I should continue restudying for FAR or just wait for my score back because I am about to get really busy with busy season coming up at work. Does anyone have advice on what I should do? Also if anyone has passed or knows of people who passed leaving simulations blank that would make feel sooo much better.

@Hannahgol-your experience sounds almost identical to mine. FAR was my 1st exam and I had no idea how to manage my time. I ended up leaving 2 SIMS blank. 1 must've been pretest and I did well in my MCQs bc I got an 85. I fully expected to fail so you just never know. However, that really taught me a lesson on time management and the 3 tests I've taken after that, I've finished. While waiting for my score, I moved on and studied for AUD. If I would've failed I would've went back to FAR since my 18 month clock hadn't started yet. The takeaway is to keep the faith and stay focused bc you might be surprised but also learn from it and manage your time on your next exams. Good luck to you!

    FAR-85 (1/28/15)
    AUD-91 (4/3/15)
    BEC-82 (5/21/15)
    REG-90 (7/31/15)

    I am done!!!!

@HannahGol, I had 2 friends who said they also left 1.5 – 2 sims blank to due time and both passed, I left 1 and did not pass, so however it is graded I guess they must have rocked the mcq, where as I probably did not. Although, out of the 7 sims the research one was the only one I knew how to do, so I am pretty confident my first time not passing far was due to sims. I think that if you don't get too bogged down on specific mcq's you should be fine on time. I need to work on how much time I allocate to mcq because I cannot seem to get much over an hour for sims 🙁

    FAR - 62 , End of aug 2015
    BEC - 67, 67
    AUD - TBD
    REG - TBD

I haven't passed FAR yet (waiting on score)..I have heard stories of people leaving 2 SIMS blank and totally guessing on like 3 or 4 sims and still passing. You still have a shot if one of those SIMS is a pretest and the other SIM did not have alot of blank spaces to fill out so it is not worth as many points as the longer ones.

    BEC - 76 (1/24/15)
    REG - 82 (4/13/15)
    AUD - 89 (5/31/15)
    FAR - 78 (8/16/15)

Starting right now I'll be strong
    I'll play my fight song
And I don't really care if nobody else believes
'Cause I've still got a lot of fight left in me

@iloveaccounting220 Thanks for responding. Actually the two I left blank were the longest ones…

I am pretty sure one had to have been a pretest question because both had to do with IFRS. Also, I do not think simulations are given more weight because of length. I am pretty sure they are weighted based on difficulty but I could be wrong.
