    Please i need some advice

I plan on starting my CPA adventure sometime next year, and i plan on taking the exam under Maine board, reasons being that, i have only 18 accounting credit hours and don’t have enough time to complete the remaining accounting hours because i am busy with the MBA program. but since the state of Maine requires 15 accounting credits with an advanced auditing class i figured it is the best option.

After passing the exam, i am ready to complete whatever accounting credit hours that is required to get a license in my preferred state, which i have not decided at the moment and by then i should be done with my MBA program

Please i need advice, if the credits can be transfered, if it expires, any Pros and Cons of Maine state and any helpful advice.

    Thanks

It's really going to depend on what state you intend to transfer the credits to and your best source of information is that state board. Some states will let you transfer and others insist that your exam credits only count if you met their criteria before you sit. You may also want to see which states have reciprocity with Maine and see if you can get licensed in ME then transfer that license to another state.
