I have a phone interview at 11 am but I also have work and there is no real private place to do this phone interview at work. I planned to come late to work if it was earlier such as 9 or 10 am…if I decide to come to work late, i’d get in around 1pm considering my transportation takes about 1.5 hrs. and assuming the call lasts 30 mins.

Do you think I should ask if they can schedule it earlier or is that a bad idea? I had already suggested 8:30 -9:30am before she asked if 11am is okay.

Also I’m not really supposed to take any more days off from work.

    Advice?

    Thanks,

    .

What about going in at your normal time but taking an early lunch at 11:00 to “take care of an errand”? Or maybe just going out to your car because you think you lost something (jewelry, wallet, etc) and you need to “look for it”, and then take the call in your car?

I take public transportation to a big city so I have no car to call in. I can have lunch anytime, just dont know where a good quitet place in a city would be for a call like this. =[

Ah I see. I would suggest a hotel; usually the lobby has some couches you could sit on and pretend you are just waiting for someone and take the call…they usually aren't that noisy during that time because checkout is usually done by then…
