so what are you guys doing for fun this weekend?
I'm doing Revenue Recognition and Pensions.......... :-)..damnnnnn...
I'll be doing F2 - F9 Becker MCQs with Tim Gerehty and Peter Olinto. We're like best friends.
I am actually taking a break from the books to celebrate my new apt (which I moved into in June, but was to busy studying to hold a housewarming then..) And I am attending a going away party to see my airman friend off to his new station assignment in NC.
I may study lightly on Sunday but for the most part, this weekend my books will get NO LOVE =)
I'm going to do some fixing up around the house. I'll also probably go mountain biking with my fiance... although I'm out of shape for biking since I haven't had time to bike in a while. Maybe roller derby kept my legs strong. Probably all different muscles though. :-) I'll also probably read a bit, go for a walk, play some WoW (don't judge).
Ahh life is so sweet!
Ive got THREE essays to write for my international accounting class...I'd love to say I am a procrastinator but the exam is my priority not this class. The essays are due Sunday though.
THEN I am going to see if I can kick out no less than 4 wiley test bank exams. Test is Wednesday :)
mla when you do the exams do you do them on exam mode or study mode?
I've never done them on exam mode, I want to see the right answer and learn something immediately. I am sure there is a benefit to exam mode, but I am not sure its for me.
no I agree! Just seeing if anyone likes it better the other way. Good luck Wednesday!!
doing R2 and R3 Becker, :(
I have a hott date actually......... With F8 & F9, I know what you're thinking "two at once this chick is crazy"
You are one kinky lady, Peanut.
Well, I guess I will get in line with Kinky, because looks like it is Phil Yaeger, Peter Olinto, and I hitting the library this weekend on all things business law. I just hope this time they bring their own change for the vending machine!!!!
Yankee, watch it thats got to violate some term of decency LOL!! I am so jealous....(can I at least ASSUME wiley is a guy?)
@mla1699
Yes...and Yes!!!! Shhhhhh. Don't tell my hubby!! ;)
Good luck with your essays. And with studying!
@mla1169, I feel your pain. I'm in an online accounting class and it's terrible. I might blow off one of my assignments due tonight :/ When I did my undergrad I never blew off an assignment. I did the math though.. these assignments are 15% of our grade and there is 12 different assignments... shouldn't hurt me that much, I hope. Gah.
Seriously peanut. My overall GPA is a 3.64 ish. Frankly if I end up with a 66 in this class I am ok with it, so long as the big enchilada, my auditing exam, is a 75.
I'm thinking maybe Disneyland, a pumpkin patch, the pool. Pretty much just try to find ways to entertain the kids.
People in So-Cal are always at Disneyland. I swear everytime I call my mom she's at Disneyland. Season pass.. psshhh.
Ignore me, I'm just jealous.
Yeah, you have to have an annual pass if you live down here. I am about 15 mins away. We show up when it opens, hang out for 1.5 - 2 hours, then leave when it starts getting busy. lol.
I'm leaving work in 6 minutes...going to buy some notebooks to take notes....lol...then im gonna eat..take a nap...and then the party...study...I also have a Business Law Exam in 10 days...ewwwww.....Maybe I should've take REG first, but I want to look at the beast straight into the eyes.....oh well...I'm out..4 minutes now...I can't believe they pay me to do this......Next week I'm bringing a 24 of Coronas to chill out...
I have a date with AUD at 8:30AM tomorrow. Then I'm going home, packing, and running away from the world for a week of hiking, wine tasting, and studying REG by the fireplace... that's the life!
@rmm91909 - I use my Gleim software in exam mode and I actually prefer it because I flag questions that I'm not sure on and when I finish, I select the option to review all questions that I flagged and all I got wrong. This helps me learn especially on the topics I'm iffy on. Even if I get a flagged question right, I try to understand why I got it right rather than being happy about a lucky guess.
Peter O is coming by in a little while and we are discussing some things in BEC. And then when he leaves tonight, Tim G gets here and we are going to work on corporate taxes. The same thing for tomorrow and Sunday. Geez, I hope they don't run into each other. Things could get ugly:)
You are studying for two sections at the same time? Brutal.
Mini, Yep. Biting the bullet. I passed AUD in the last window and got a 71 on BEC. I had already began studying REG and didn't want to put that aside. And I figured that since that BEC was so close that I would bite the bullet and do both exams. It's about to kill me, but gotta get it done. I'm using Becker and so far I've completed five of the seven chapters in REG and two of the five in BEC. All MC's, related SIMS AND outlined chapters. This will be my second go around with REG and fourth for BEC. Many, many, many years ago, I took this exam when it was only offered twice a year and you had to take all four parts at one time. Talk about a nightmare!! But it can be done. Best wishes to you. You're almost there!!
My REG test is 11/19 and BEC 11/20. I absolutely have no life.
As I watch the beautiful fall leaves and bits of sunshineat 8:30am I am doing my prestudy work - checking the CPA forum! Then on to accounting cahnges, principles, and financial statements mc's and sims. Then ANOTHER review of module 9 so tomorrow can be module 10 inventory for the first time.
Plus a family party tommorrow afternoon. So I have some life of my own. ;)
Just finished up Becker F3 on consolidations (yuck) and 1/3 of the way done with video lectures in F4 (fixed assets, working capital). Good thing F4 is a breeze compared to the earlier chapters. Hopefully I can get a good chunk of it done tonight and get a bit of F5 done tomorrow.
I will also be starting my first career job as a staff accountant next Tuesday..so the time pressure is starting to hit me.
I met a girl at a club (don't judge) last Saturday and got her number. I haven't called her yet and it's now been a week and I'm beginning to feel it's too late. If I called her now it just might be awkward since I waited too long. Oh well...my excuse is that I'm busy studying for the CPA but I think realistically it's because I'm being a baby :p. Last date I had was over 6 months ago..
