    sw100177…I wish I could help you but I am in the same boat as you. My scores are 69,62,69. I just started studying again for BEC and I re-worked the wiley mc's in the text book this morning and there were a few questions where I misunderstood the requirements. Your weakness may not be that, but I would suggest, re-reading, highlighting keywords, etc. and fully understanding what the question is asking. I tend to be inpatient when it comes to the test. Guess my anxiety has the best of me. Anyway, I will be working the mc's in the textbook twice with supplements of the test bank, rewriting the ninja notes and listening to the ninja audio. I HAVE TO PASSS THIS BEAST!! We BOTH have to PASS!!! Good luck!

    BEC 10/13 PASSED 77
    AUD 04/12 PASSED 83
    FAR 08/12 PASSED 76
    REG 02/13 PASSED 76

    I STRONGLY suggest the NINJA notes for BEC, memorize them front to back, I really think this is what made the difference when I passed BEC.

    FAR- 69, 80
    BEC- 69, 69, 78
    AUD-59, 11/19/12
    REG- 79

    Thank you supervisor! I did go over the questions over and over, but the questions on the exam are getting harder and harder as the more you took on the exam. Most of time, they seems like coming from the blue. Sometimes they are asking some IT questions and I have no clue. By the way, how do you work on the WC?

    I took REG once and expired, then I just took it again without study on the book and passed again. My FAR is going to expired in April 2013. I really have to beat this monster.

    I remember taking BEC in Oct and it was AWFUL! Although I passed with an 84, I still think it was the hardest one I've got. Maybe the time i spent on studying for this section was least. But I would suggest you to understand the cost mgmt formula and how they come up with the answers. Based on my experience with the exam, lots of time, they dont ask you stuff that is very straight forward. You just gotta know the formula and the steps very well. I think I aced all my calculations except the theory. My IT questions were definitely out of the blue. I dont think you can even study for it. I remember not focusing a lot on the IT at all.

    Good luck!!!

    FAR 5/14 88 PASSED!
    REG 7/13 74 :((((((((....! I cant believe it!!!! I studied so hard...
    REG retake 11/29 -> 89!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    BEC 10/11/12 -> 84!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    AUD 10/25/12 -> 95!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I'm DONE! OMG 8 months of hard work.

    I SHALL PASS. BECAUSE IT'S ME, SO EVERYTHING WILL BE OK!

    Ninja Notes definitely help and the audio is great too if there are times you can listen to it over and over. Really helps some of the key points stick.

    FAR 5/29/12 76
    REG 8/2/12 82
    BEC 8/30/12 72 Retake 10/18/12 76!!! DONE!!!!

    Thank you everyone. I am thinking to take Roger's cram course, do you think it will help? I took his classes many years ago… And do you think Wiley's cd practice would help as well?

    sw100, to be honest with you, I never really practice the written communication. I just focus on learning the information in the textbook so that when I get hit with a certain topic, I can easily write the memos. I scored comparable in my WC on all three of the BEC exam that I have taken. Sorry, I am no help in that area. I agree with you that the IT questions may be out of the blue. I suggest re-writing the notes and keep on working the MC's. Hope this helps!

    love2passcpa, yes, English is my second language, too. That's why I have to spend more times on studying than others. And during the exam, I have to spend more time reading and get fully understand on the question before I can answer them. Some of the questions can be very tricky. I won't give up yet, I still have 2 trys before the FAR expired. Thanks!!

    Hello “sw100177”

    For MCQs, there is no excuse, please do so many of them that you can answer them in you sleep. As Jeff says” you have to do a ton of MCQs”. I read somewhere in this website about MCQ and I quote” You have to do so many questions that you puke, then clean up the puke and do more”. On WC find somebody to critique your writing.

    Good luck.

    I just failed BEC with a 62 (barf!) after studying for 2 months. I used Bisk software + text. I am/was baffled because I felt confident that no matter the outcome, it would be a close one (70-79). Then a low 60??!

    I bought the Wiley textbook and am re-starting studying from the start. I did this with REG – Wiley textbook after failing with Bisk study stuff , score of 70 – and then got an 80 after incorporating Wiley for an extra month.

    @sw100177 , I think bringing in a new, fresh set of questions/study materials is a great thing after failing. Doing the same exact MCQs time after time again gets so stale to me and not helpful, especially when I am memorizing answers instead of learning them! Let's kill BEC. Like literally.

    REG - 65, 70, 80!
    BEC - 35, 62, 79!
    AUD - 73, 75!
    FAR - 65, 73, 70, 75! DONE.

    BEC is supposed to be the “easy one”… That's what I thought, so I started studying 10 days before my exam.. Wow this is very complicated… Partially common sense, but the details are unreasonable to memorize..

    Since discussion of exam content is forbidden, let me just ask this… fo rthose of you that have taken BEC, are the Becker's passmaster questions an overkill? Or does becker's do a fair job with the depth of the detail the candidate is required to know??

    Thanks

    Feb 2012: FAR - 78
    Nov 2012: REG - 90
    DEC 2012: BEC - ?? Dec 7th
    XXX 2013: AUD - ??

    Becker is a bit of overkill but honestly I don't think 10 days is enough time unless you are studying all day everyday. While it may be easier none of these tests are easy. If you go into any exam with the mindset it is easy then you will probably come in unprepared.

    FAR: 85
    AUD: 80
    REG: 78
    BEC: 82

    Maybe you need to approach your studying differently. I find understanding the concepts much more effective than practicing MCQs. MCQs should be used to test your understanding of the concepts. If you really know it and are not just memorizing how to handle situations you recognize in MCQs you will be successful.

    NIU CPA Review Correspondence is awesome!

    I passed all four sections on the first attempt
