Alright AICPA, let’s get this damn score release over with. I walked out of FAR two weeks ago and wanted to throw up. I thought the MCQs were insanely tough. I did finish all SIMs and aced the research question, but all in all I just don’t think I could have done better than a 50. I logged between 250-300 hours studying and was killing the Wiley sample tests (well, scoring consistently in the 80’s), so the test experience really frustrated me.

Then, everyone on this forum and some CPA friends convinced me it’s possible I passed no matter how bad it seemed. I almost wish I didn’t get any hopes up because deep down I think I tanked it. However, I do have a history of underestimating my test scores.

All this waiting.. Can you just put an end to this misery AICPA??? If I failed, so be it. I just can’t wait any longer!!!

I don't see why you're complaining…

Killed the sims, that's 40% of the grade… MCQ were insanely tough translates to I killed them and it kept getting harder. Chances are you did really well.

Edit: The thing I'll agree with you on is that the wait is a bitch.

I WISH I killed the SIMs. You must have misunderstood. I killed the research question, that's all the killing I did. I FINISHED the SIMs which I think is a plus but two of them I swear I didn't have a CLUE what I was doing. I didn't kill the MCQ's. They kicked my ass. I did okay on the first testlet but in testlet 2 and 3 I felt so defeated I started flipping off my monitor. I'm sure the people watching on surveillance were loving my frustration.

first testlet: medium 2nd/3rd testlets: hard usually translates to a pass so don't be too hard on yourself.

My first testlet was medium. Second was hard and third was medium again. I fully knew 5/7 sims.. Left 2 completely blank because they seemed impossible and I had 20 minutes left so attempting them would've done me nothing but a headache.

After walking out I started getting nightmares about ”omg what if I did well on the first then bombed the second and freaked out on the third?”… ”omg what if the sims were doable because I misunderstood or whatever”…”omg what if leaving 2 sims empty is going to cost me a 74”.

Now I'm all about saying ‘fuck it' I did however the fuck AICPA decides I did, if I failed or passed nothing I could do about it now.

TL;DR We're all on the same boat, I wish everyone on A71 the best :D.

I was just thinking…I studied 200+ hours and everything ended in four hours…We've been waiting for our scores for 2 weeks (don't start your 3 mos. bs) and everything will end in 2 seconds…Life is tough..
