So what's everyone's plans for this week? Mine is to do a final review but so far the week is not starting off on a good foot.

Since 2008....
AUD - 39, 48, 56, 65, 68, 73, 76!!! (Finally passed in Oct 2011!!!)
REG - 75 (Lost Credit) 72, 68, 73, 75 (Passed again in Aug 2011)
FAR - 65, 68, 75 (Lost Credit) 68, 73, 73 - Rematch scheduled on May 29, 2012
BEC - 65, 68, 71, 72, 72, 71, 76 (Lost Credit)- 70 (Are you kidding me?????) - July 17th, 2012 -> Rematch!!

I WILL BECOME A CPA IN 2012!!!

@JoMarie,

I hope you aren't getting strep......but if you are, see if you can get the antibiotic shot. My son got it and it helped him get better quick. Take care!

I'm starting BEC this week...well, I started last night. It's giving me anxiety already. What the hell is this stuff??? My exam is a month from this Wednesday. I’m going to have to hit a power week ever week from now on.

FAR - 68, May

@ JoMarie, I hope you and your family get well soon. I am planning to knock out about 3-4 hrs per night this week except for Friday. MCQs, Ninja Notes, and starting on the Roger Cram for AUD.
@Yankee, Hey there!!! How is the AUD studying going? When do you take your exam? I am on 01/30.

@Mylifeiscpa,

sounds like you have a great plan for the week. Audit has been going ok, except this morning I woke up in anxiety mode. Actually, it isn't all Audit related, I started calculating how much longer my mom's money will last her before she is living with me or my sister--OIY!!! talk about anxiety ;)

so, I am just feeling anxious in general. I should be finishing up some mcq's from Wiley by tomorrow and then it is simulated exams until game day.....just not sure what day that will be. I am set for Monday, but am toying with giving myself a couple of extra days. I am feeling the pressure of taking this a fourth time.

I plan to finish the A5 section tonight for AUD, then sims every night this week. Saturday I start REG with Becker so that will kill most of my day. All day Sunday planning for sims and full practice exam.

AUD - (1/25/12) 71 close yet so far!!!
REG - (2/27/12) 75 I will take it!!

Hit MCQ's like they're going out of style and try and practice a few sims. I don't even think I can squeeze in a practice exam. There's no time!

Finishing the 150 or so mcq's in my Wiley Review book today, then progress tests until game day. BTW has anybody used the Wiley 2011-2012 Review book Volume 2-Problems and Solutions???????? Just curious for your feedback.

Back to AUD tomorrow :( Took a few days to re-coop after BEC--which I am convinced I did not pass. I'm going to do two lectures and intense notes back to back for AUD. Should finish the Becker lectures by the end of the week. Will enjoy my last day of freedom today!

Well just came back from the doctor's office. At least it's not strep, but I think I need to catch up on some zzzz's. I think I'm going to have to push back FAR. I tried this morning and the site wouldn't let me.

@yankeeaccountant, the sad thing is... I enjoyed studying for AUD the first time! WTH! I know I know.. I'm crazy

@JoMarie, oh no!! I have been in hiding for the past few days, didn't know you weren't feeling well. I hope you feel better! Hey, if it means pushing back FAR, you do what you need to do ... As long as you go in there confident and ready to fight! The extra days will help. If that's the only one you're taking this window then you're in great shape. Again, feel better! Rest, your family will take care of their mommy!

Oh welll!!! My fight with MCQ's. Since I was comfortable, and starting to memorize Becker's MCQ's I just switched to Wiley...and oh boy.......it is like starting over. I will keep working on them and reading the explanations. Hopefully, I will be in good shape for next Monday...So far I have completed 120 MCQ's with a score in the low 70's. I used the same strategy for AUD and it worked, it is always good to see another style of wording and many more MCQ's.

Starting to panic on FAR. I know I still have 3 weeks but I feel like that is not enough time to get through all of this material. Its just a tad overwhelming!

It is funny how the exams are so different for all of us?! My favorite to study for out of all of them was BEC....then FAR. They make the most sense to me. Anyhow, liking the subject matter is a great thing!!

@marivy

Glad the Day of the Three Kings was fun! I totally agree with you that using multiple testbanks is smart. I always hit that wall after I finish Becker and start Wiley. Keep up the pace, sounds like you are on a roll. Good luck.

I hope you are feeling better soon. Pushing your exam is a good idea, piece of mind is invaluable. Get rest!!

Ok, no psyching yourself out! You have plenty of time, and you will get through it. I know that we hear this alot on the forum, I don't think I have ever said it, but here goes my first: If I can pass FAR, YOU can pass FAR. Seriously. If you are starting to feel uneasy, grab an extra hour a day---I know, a tough one, but find those 60 minutes. If you did that 5 days a week, that is an extra 15 hours for your exam. You can do it. I know you have alot of people on this forum rooting for you......you got this!

Well I'm back!!!! It's amazing what lack of sleep will do to you. After I made my post yesterday, I went to bed and slept for 6 hours!!! Thank goodness I put my alarm on, I was almost late to pick up the girls at daycare.

I pushed back my exam until Feb 6th. That gives me about 3 1/2 weeks to study my little heart away. My plans are to do as many MCQs as possible and rewrite Jeff's NINJA notes. My cram with Roger is going to expire on the 15th of January, but I still have Roger's regular course to fall back on, if I'm stuck on anything.

Anyways, I'm off to get ready for my day. Off to work I go, then come home and study my little heart away. FAR is going down!!!

Glad to hear you're feeling better. FYI-Try calling Roger and tell them you changed your exam date, they will probably extend your cram. It doesn't hurt to ask! GL

Thanks Yankee! I know I am totally psyching myself out. I had a fellow co-worker tell me I am not allowed to move my test date. His reasoning was, why so I can take it in February when I am knee deep in work and forget everything I learnt? Guess it makes sense. Maybe I will switch over to Jeff's 20 day plan. I have F6-9 left and trying to do every single becker problem is taking me a life time. Maybe sets of 20 would be the way to go.

@jomarie, I am glad you are feeling better...it is amazing how much we need sleep. I read on this forum people who do not sleep much and study all night and I just can't do that, after so much time my brain turns to mush and I do no good!

pacific I agree I need my 8 hours. I couldn't study until 2 AM and wake up at 6 to study. I would never get anything in life accomplished.

My recommendation a good antibiotic and a huge bowl of root vegetables soup with a piece of chicken inside.........go to a latin supermarket ask somebody how you can do a "sancocho" and that is magic LOL That's my medicine when I am sick, it worked for me 3 days before my AUD test......I hope you get better soon!!!!

Well I had my hubby stop at the dollar store for me yesterdayand buy me some notebooks so I can start rewriting Jeff's notes. So my plan for the weekend is to start rewriting the notes and work on endless MCQs.
