Well this week I’m doing something different. Usually when I set myself certain amount of time to study, it doesn’t happen, so I’m going to continue working on mini tests all week and maybe try to get through all topics on Wiley at least once. I am planning a day off today since it’s my birthday. I have not taken a day off totally from studying in who knows how long. I usually just try to study whenever I have a chance.

Happy Birthday!!! Today is Cameron's (my son) bday too! enjoy the day off! I think changing things up is really beneficial. Just doing the rewriting of notes has allowed me to look at things in a different light, and honestly, it was such a nice change of pace, it was nice. So, if mini-tests works for you, I say go for it. I am going to finish writing 2 pages of notes, then reread all notes that I have, then go for a full blown exam. Going for 8 hours 2day. I need to change up my way of thinking as well. Last week was a big disappointment for me, it was all my fault though. Last night I was up for hours thinking on how I let myself down last week and what I need to change to go forward and tackle this! So, as of today I will try not to make a goal of so many hours to do in a week but I will focus on just simple studying every chance I get….and that means NOT turning on the TV all week, that will be a challenge for me. 🙂

Thanks Yankee! Yeah, it was not a good sleep last night as I just kept thinking about it but then I realized I can't take last week back but I can make changes for going forward so that is what I will try to do!

I will say I did not get as much study time in this weekend for some reason, I was in a study rut!!! So I have to make it all up during the week and the weekend. I have a week left to study and I need to get in as much as possible.

I completed what I set out to do yesterday, but not with the results I wanted. Putting it behind me, I am hitting it hard. Have a great day today….and yes, totally agree with Acct–passing marks soon!!!!

Thanks again everyone!! I did have a CPA free study day yesterday. Hubby came home with a dozen roses for me and got to spend some time with the girls. The best b-day present I could ever ask for…..hubby is going to be coming home almost everynight until I sit for FAR on the 25th, so I can have some studying time.

Anyways, it was back to the grind this morning. I woke up a little before 6am to work on some MCQs and guess what…..I couldn't log onto Wiley!!! Ugh!!! I spend most of the am trying to figure out why I'm having computer issues. We have two laptops in the house and I couldn't log onto the site from either one of them. I couldn't even log onto this site until now.

Well now it's time for me to get ready for work and my busy day ahead of me. Have a good studying day everyone!!! 🙂

Jomarie – I am glad you had a CPA free birthday!

I got some study time in yesterday, about 4 hours so less than I had hoped and it just amazes me how little you actually get done in those 4 hours! I always have big plans of what I will accomplish and usually only get about half of it done.

Today I am at a FAR seminar for work and it is all day so I might not get as much study time today unfortunately….I just keep thinking after this week I am off work for 9 days and hopefully I can do as planned….make the 9 days all about study. 🙂

you are so right! It amazes me when I see 8 hours go by and I am like, ” you only did ## mcq's????” I am amazed when I see people post that they did 400 in a day……I am nowhere near that.
