    JoMarie, you deserve to have a weekend off to rest your brain and regroup. Plan out your plan of attack. This weekend isn't really going to be a “power weekend” for me. Going to try to get in about 6 hours today, and tomorrow I'm taking the day OFF, which is something I never ever do. We're having our family holiday party tonight, so I will be burning my FAR and REG materials. I feel like I have a really good handle on BEC. I completed all of the chapters, lectures & all MCQs, now I'm going through every MCQ in all chapters again. I'm actually already on B5! Which means by Monday ish I'll have completed all MCQs two times. I'll have to switch to Wiley soon ..

    Good luck this weekend everyone!

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

    jomarie- I'm so sorry to hear about your FAR results. I'm glad you have the flexibility to take FAR now and put BEC on the back burner. My REG NTS expires in January, so I won't be able to go back to FAR until after I sit for REG. Although it will probably help me stick to Jeff's advice that no matter your score, you are not just “a cram away” from a pass.

    yankee- I know I should know this, but did you decide to sit for AUD or REG next? If it's REG, we can be REG buddies! I sit Jan 9. You?

    peanut- Enjoy your holiday party and your CPA free Sunday!! It sounds like you are ahead of the BEC curve. Good work.

    I am 13 hours of video behind on my study schedule. I am definitely in need of a power weekend! My game plan is to finish all the Yaeger videos and minimum MCQs by Dec 22 so that I can take Christmas weekend off (or at least Christmas day. I studied on Thanksgiving day and it didn't exactly pay off, so I'd like to spend the Christmas holiday with my family.) But I'm only allowing this if I am completely through the material. My exam is scheduled for Jan 9 so if I follow my plan, I will have 2 full weeks to review (rewrite notes, non stop MCQs, etc). I'm a little nervous that taking the weekend off will make it harder to get back into it, but for now, I just need to get my study on.

    Enjoy your weekend Jomarie! I know I will be as I need it to gain some sanity back. However Monday I will be checking in with you to make sure we are both back on track πŸ™‚ We have to knock FAR out in January!!

    Well I am not sure my weekend has or will be considered a Power weekend. I didn't do any studying yesterday but today I am going to try to master Leases and Contingencies, so far it isn't going well with constant interruptions. But tomorrow my husband is heading out of town for the week so I will have the house all to myself and should be able to make some good progress. I have looked at all the areas I was weaker on during my studies last time and that is what I am focusing on first, I am hoping come January this will be the last time I have to take FAR again.

    I hope all are having a wonderful weekend and those taking the weekend off are really enjoying their time. πŸ™‚

    Hey guys!

    Second day of restudying Audit. Four hours yesterday and the same today. Starting from the begininning, listening to Roger full course, and taking crazy notes, but also focusing on listening intently.

    @ eatruncpa

    Well, my Audit debacle messed up my schedule. Unfortunately, I can't be your study buddy πŸ™ I will sit for Audit in January and Reg in February. I hope you made some headway on the Yaeger videos!!!

    @peanut

    I hope you had a blast at the holiday party. Every now and again, a day off recalibrates my disposition. Enjoy it.

    @Pacific,

    Don't beat yourself up on how “powerful” the weekend is. With your hubby being gone next week, you will be able to make up ground. Have fun with leases and contingencies (yeah, right, just like I am going to have fun with audit planning!!! Have a great study day.

    Does anyone know how ACCT did on BEC?

    Lol πŸ™‚

    I'm so flattered!

    @Jomarie and @rmm91909

    How was your weekend?! You were taking a break from studying, right?

    @Peanut

    Wow! You've really done a lot! I don't think I managed to get that much done when I studied BEC, which is probably why I failed the first time…don't know yet about the second time…

    @eatrunCPA

    Watching the videos are the best part πŸ™‚

    @yankeeaccountant

    Listening intently to lectures was something I did not find so easy. My mind would wander…but when I was doing Roger Cram (was it just 2 weeks ago???) I found him easier to pay attention to.

    Sounds like you're going to nail it this time!

    @pacific1

    If I remember correctly, leases are just loads of fun! (just kidding πŸ™‚ ) I don't envy you…I don't think I liked leases (probably not contingencies either, but I honestly don't remember)

    @Marivy22

    You're getting there…I didn't like bonds and warrants that much either.

    Good luck studying, everyone! Hope it was a pretty relaxing weekend!
