So far I've finished BEC chapter 1 lectures. I started chapter 2 last night. Now that my older daughter is at a friends and the little napping I'm going to watch some lectures. Hubby's working today so it's just me and the girls until late this afternoon. Hope the hubby doesn't plan on coming home to a clean house….LOL

@peanut – no I don't feel things went well with FAR and if come next week I find out I didn't pass I will be studying for both AUD and FAR at the same time and test for both the first part of January.

I was 150% sure I failed, and I passed (granted by the skin on my teeth). If It makes you feel better, FAR has the BIGGEST curve out of all of these exams. You might be surprised. The SIMs feel really hard during the exam–during my first exam I walked out without finishing any SIMs-scored a 67. Now try to tell me that my exam wasn't curved a serious amount! Then this time around, all of my MCQs were one liners, the questions never got more difficult, and I squeaked by. You just never know! Focus on AUD for the week until score release, it deserves your undivided attention haha

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

@peanut, thanks so much for that! I was having the same issues, my questions never got harder so kept thinking oh this isn't going well but I kept at it. With the SIMS two of them I had no clue what they were actually asking me to even do so to hear you didn't even get your SIMS done and got a 67 that gives me some hope. I am praying I pass, but preparing myself that it might not happen. Last night I even had two different dreams, one I scored a 75 and I was over the moon happy and then the next one I scored a 68…I will keep my fingers crossed for the 75!! Thanks so much for your post. 🙂

It took me three hours yesterday to finish the third chapter MCQ in Topic one of BEC. Too much calculations..Also watched a movie with my hubby yesterday and felt extremly guilty of wasting two hours after that. Finished Topic two and MCQ.

I wanted to register for my REG for end of FEB at the prometric site but cannot, do I have to wait for my results????? I am positive that I failed it .

    FAR: Pass

    AUD: Pass

    REG: 11/30/11

    BEC: 01/07/12

    FAR: 5/31/11 Passed
    AUD: 10/08/11 Passed
    BEC: 01/07/12 Passed
    REG: 11/27/11,2/27/12 5/12 passed
    Got my license on 10/17/12........

@pacific1, Ahh I hate CPA dreams! Last score release before I got my FAR score, I had a dream that the AICPA gave out a “range” for your actual score. My range was 50-52! Haha, that's how convinced my subconscious was that I failed.

@mmen, I know exactly what you're talking about… That topic took me almost four hours! So many calculations! Not to scare you, but B5 was pretty bad as well :/ I'm starting to re-do all of the MCQs now. I understand your guilt as well, if I do anything at all besides studying I feel guilty. If I go have a “bitch fest” with girlfriends over a bottle of wine, the entire time I feel guilty and can't really enjoy myself. About your re-registering for a part, you can't register until 24-48 hours after the release. So, even after you get your score there is usually a 1-2 day lag before it will let you pay to register for the section

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

I've been having score release dreams too! My FAR experience is pretty similar. Questions did not seem to get harder, yet I marked quite a few. SIMs weren't terrible. 2 were completely off the wall, 3 I was pretty comfortable with and I got lucky with 2 research! But I am bracing myself for a retake and planning to take end of February if I pass REG or undecided if I don't pass either.

My plan is to get through module 36 lectures and MCQs by Monday.

Good luck to everyone this weekend and for those waiting on scores this week!

Haven't gotten much studying done this weekend. Well, this bit of a headache doesn't help. I drank a bit last night. It's funny how when you don't drink much and then when you do, I only had 4 beers last night, it hits you. Nothing a little coffee and Motrin won't take care of. LOL. Well I think tonight after my girls have swimming and we have dinner I'll watch a few lectures.

Since I sat for FAR, I'm actually having a hard time getting back into the studying grove. Once I start, I'm good, but actually starting is the hard part.

Started sitting in May 2002, on and off. But since 2008 I've been nonstop and my scores are....

jomarie- motivation has been scarce for me too. I know I need to get a strong head start in order to enjoy the holidays but tax is so different than financial. I have to use my NTS for REG by January, but I feel like my unknown FAR score is an obstacle. Props for attacking the exam with a family at home. I can't imagine!

eatruncpa – you know what also what I think is the problem. The unknown FAR score. After this week, I think I'll be ok. It's going to be a LONG week!!
