Ok so last week I took the CPAexcel practice exam for AUD and then I took the real thing yesterday 01.26.15. I scored an 84 on my practice exam. How well of a predictor of the actual score is this practice exam? Anyone have any thoughts? Also, I’m thinking about using Becker for the last three exams. I was happy with CPAexcel, but I guess my results will tell the story. Anyone ever use both CPAexcel and Becker? If so, what did you think?

I always did better on the actual exam than the practice one. I'd say it's pretty solid as long as you're not memorizing answers and understand the concepts behind the right and wrong answers. I've so far scored between 65-70% on the practice tests and I've managed to pass 3 so far on the first attempt.

    FAR 8/18/2014--87
    AUD 10/18/2014--78
    REG 11/24/2014--76
    BEC 2/28/2015--76

Thanks! That makes me feel at least somewhat confident.

The average person tends to score higher on the real exam than the practice exam.

Remember to use it as a guide….if the practice exam didn't include a topic you are struggling in the real exam might and that can have a HUGE impact on your exam. Make sure you understand not only what you missed…but also the answers to questions you may have guessed on.

I am different than the average person I guess…because the actual exam is always WAY harder for me…it may just be nerves. With the practice exam I at least always have an idea….during the real exam there are always MANY questions I sit there and have to reread 100x because I have no idea where to even guess. Make sure to keep doing those multiple choice questions for all areas up until the test date.

I didn't take practice exams for all, but REG was about the same 94 to 92 I think and AUD was significantly higher- 87 to 95. You should be fine.
