Practicing for the WC testlet for BEC

Is it better to practice the relevant WC questions as you are going through each topic or at the end? For instance, the Wiley book has WC tasks after each chapter. However, I find that it is difficult to switch from doing MCQs to then answering a written communication task. I was therefore planning to just use the last few days before the exam to practice for the WC testlet.

Any suggestions on what works best?

If you're already a good writter, dont practice at all. Just no the do and donts.

If not, study up a little on grammar. Dont worry about the spelling, theres a spell check there.

I ended up waiting till the night before to study the writing portion. I'm a terrible writer so I spent ALL of my energy on acing the MCQ.

Like sammyj said, study a bit on the grammar and do and donts

The only thing I practiced was how to write the first and last paragraphs. I waited until the last couple days and just read over some of the answers they had to see how they worded the wc's. You never know what you will get.

Thanks everyone. That's helpful. I would say I am, at a minimum, an average writer so a little practice in addressing the question would be great. At least to ensure that I include some relevant key words.
