I find out my score for FAR on 8/4, and do not feel confident that I passed. This was my first exam and I am not working, just studying full time. I was unsure if I should start studying for BEC or Audit next and take one at the end of August. My concern is if I start studying for one of these tests, and find out I failed FAR, would you start studying for FAR again and hope to take it again at the end of August or just focus on the test I was already studying for?

    FAR - 72, 81
    BEC - 76
    REG - 78
    AUD - 61 (1/24), Retake (6/6)

    Materials: Becker
    FAR Retake: + Wiley TB
REG & AUD: + Ninja MCQ

If you took your exam in July for FAR, you cannot retake it within the same window. You would need to wait until October. Best bet is to move on and study something new. That's what I am doing!

    FAR - 76! 10/15; (65) 7/15
    BEC - 82! 11/15; (74) 8/15
    AUD - 01/16
    REG - TBA

First of all, everyone feels that way leaving FAR. Dont worry too much.

What kind of time frame do you have to finish the exams? It can help to keep your mind busy to start a new section…otherwise youll drive yourself crazy waiting. Aud is a good transition from FAR – no math!

You wont get to retake any section until October so i would just start powering through Aud even if you fail FAR.

    Aud: 99. (May)
    Bec: 89. (April)
    Far: 84. (Feb)
    Reg: 79. (July)

    @WaitingonScoreRelease

I was unaware you could not retest in the same window, thanks for informing!

My start date is January 2016, and am focusing on primarily studying prior to. I have a family reunion this next week where I will be completely occupied, then was potentially planning a trip to Europe at the end of August. With having limited time in August, I was thinking about doing BEC next?

Or would you recommend hunkering down and trying to knock out Audit before BEC?

    FAR - 72, 81
    BEC - 76
    REG - 78
    AUD - 61 (1/24), Retake (6/6)

@for425 I am studying for BEC next. I start my job in public accounting soon and wanted something that might be easier for me to digest while transitioning to a new job (or so I hope)!!!

    BEC - 82! 11/15; (74) 8/15

The first exam i took was FAR back in May. It did not compare to the practice exams i was used to and i left knowing that I failed it and beat myself over it because I studied for it for 3 months. when i went home, the first thing i did as soon as i walked in the house was sit down and study the things i knew i messed up on. I was so sure i failed, that i tried to schedule a retake and found out that you can't until your failing score comes in. I took a break for the next 11 days until my score came in and was completely shocked to see an 82 in the score box. At least i didn't think i passed and ended up failing.

I took FAR at the beginning of July and am pretty sure I failed as well. My multiple choice questions were a breeze, and I felt extremely confident up until my simulations. 2 of my Sims weren't even covered in the Becker material, and I am also nervously waiting for my score to be released on the 4th. Even though I am pretty positive I failed and will need to retake it, I took 2 days off, then began studying for BEC. In my opinion, it is best to just keep moving and essentially forget about the last exam you took until you know the score. That way, you can take another in the same window instead of wasting the time studying for one that you cant even retake until October.

I think BEC and Audit are both completely doable with 3-4 weeks of studying, so I would try one of those.

    AUD- 99
    FAR- 93
    BEC- 90
    REG- 94

I have my 6 month schedule set out and I'm sticking to it even if I fail a section. If they let you retake it in the same section window that w.b. 1 thing, but to me it's better to keep the momentum going. Personally I'd postpone that trip to EUrope as you'll never have the freedom to focus as u do now.

Kayla I took Far in July as well and the Sims were ghastly. Even the research one took some time. MCQs weren't bad – but that worries me as well.

i took far in july too and think I failed (just like everyone else haha) but I'm studying to take audit at the end of the august.

Audit is still pretty hard but it'll be like 5% easier if you know FAR since a few of the topics relate, like ratios and all. REG and BEC I would save for later. Audit is also a little bit shorter (6 chapters in Becker) so it'll be a nice “break” from the crazy amount of stuff in FAR's 10 chapters.

I thought MCQs were okay but wasn't sure. When I got to the SIMs I kind of freaked out because the questions were so hard. I thought I failed but ended up getting a 90. Nobody comes out of the test thinking they passed.

    FAR: 90
    AUD: 94
    REG: 84
    BEC: November 25th
