Took Reg a few months ago and got a 74. Obviously a bummer, but I told myself, all you have to do is improve on a few areas and you’ll be set. So I only half-assed studying, didnt put the time in, and only went through the motions to prepare. I still felt more confident than I did last time, so I was feeling pretty good.
I went in to the test this week and just made stupid mistake after stupid mistake. I screwed up a question and then they proceeded to ask me a similar question again in Testlet 2 and 2 more times in Testlet 3 and I got all 5 of them wrong, I mixed up things between individuals and corporations, and I just messed up some stupid things that were easy questions. I thought my MC tests went medium-hard-medium so I guess all wasn’t lost. I had to leave about 5-6 per book unfilled the first time around and then circle back to them.
Simulations were difficult, the research question was a gimme like most of them, I had no problems with 2 others, 1 was average and then two were tricky. One of the tricky ones wasnt even a topic covered in Reg, it was covered in Financial. So I have no idea what to make out of that.
Overall, I’m not feeling too great. Not sure I pulled it out and now have to study again for Reg. The point of this post I guess was 1) to vent and 2) let people know who get a score in the 70s, dont think it will come automatically the next time. Put in the time and effort to make sure you dont have to take it a 3rd time.
