Prometric closure due to bad weather….

I was scheduled to take BEC (my last test) tomorrow morning at a prometric center in MN. They announced tonight they are closed due to bad weather. I went on to Prometric’s site and they do not have any testing appointments available between now and the end of the month. On top of that, I am going to Hawaii on vacation Saturday morning until the end of the month so I couldn’t reschedule this month anyway.

Anyone know how this is handled? Will they allow me to test in April without having to repay (my credit to take the test expires beginning of March)

I have an email and a call into NASBA but just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience to share that will calm me down about the whole situation! 🙂 I would imagine that anyone else who had planned to test tomorrow at one of the closed testing sites would be in the same situation since they also wouldn’t have been able to reschedule in February.

See if there's availability at a prometric in Hawaii.

Just kidding. Usually takes 24 hours after the closure to reschedule. I would think NASBA would extend your NTS but keep trying to get in touch with them before you go, just for peace of mind while you're on vacation.

    Have fun!

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

Mla, gave you a good idea about testing in Hawaii, but don't tell NASBa about your trip, you might need that extra month.

    Thanks guys,

I actually already checked for a seat in Hawaii, they only have an opening on the day we leave so that won't work. 🙁 The idea of taking the exam on vacation is dreadful, but still better than having to keep everything fresh for an additional month.

I will keep my fingers crossed that NASBA will extend my NTS!

The Bloomington Prometric center is literally 10 feet above my head right now at work. Almost the entire office building is closed down… good luck rescheduling, I hope they let you go in to the next window due to the circumstance WAY beyond your control!

    FAR - 79 (11/27/13)
    AUD - 76 (2/1/14)
    REG - 77 (5/30/14)
    BEC - 88 (7/18/14)

    MN Ethics - 100% (3/9/14)

    AND DONE! 8/1/14
