    Hey guys,

I have a test at 1 o clock, but a friend who is taking it at 8 is saying they are operating at half capacity. it is now 930 and she is still waiting along with 8 other people who had it scheduled at 8. they are saying that they can reschedule for free, but that’s little consolation as the next date will be a month from now, which translates to many more hours of wasted studying and Doing all mcq over again while studying for something else. what a nightmare. rant over.

That is awful. I definitely would not want to reschedule either. Maybe you will get lucky and most people will decide to reschedule and then you won't have a long wait. Best of luck. I hope you get to take it today and not too much later than originally scheduled.

update: not looking promising, my friend was forced to reschedule. I've heard that the AICPA let's you test during blackout if it was a fault on their end. any truth to this?

update: I have a source that says this is a global issue, not just my location. can anyone confirm?

Wow, not at all what you hope for on test day, regardless of whether or not it's the end of the window! Are you hearing that it is a global Prometric issue or global AICPA issue? If it's Prometric, I wouldn't count on the AICPA promise counting for the AICPA. If it's AICPA, then I still don't know if they have such a promise, but if they do, then this should definitely count! 😛

You can test during the balckout (usually next week sometime). I did after Sandy hit New York…it was nice because I got a few more days to study and my scores faster 🙂

What are the locations? Im wondering if its here too. My test is today at 5pm in Atlanta GA. That'd be sweet if I got to take it later (and still have it be in the 3rd quarter). Although im gonna need more than an extra week of studying to pass haha

Not a global issue. I took BEC at 8am in Sarasota, FL. I hope you get to your exam today or next week! *fingers crossed*

I was able to take the test without a problem, although fingerprint was down. I feel bad for the early risers

So glad you got to take it! Fingerprint was down at my location today too! But they weren't having any other issues. I got called in 2 hours early.

The finger print scanner was down at my location too. That's so weird. Glad you got to take your test! I wasn't aware of any problems so I was able to take my test on time (around 12:30). I'm guessing the finger print scanners use the same software and maybe the software was having issues? Either way, I'm glad I scheduled my test in the afternoon!

I had computer issues last Friday and almost had to reschedule after waiting for 3 hours… because they said they didn't have any extra computers.

Prometric needs to get their act together.

I took BEC today at noon and they were having to reboot the computers between each person. Made me nervous but my exam went okay. The fingerprint scanner was down at my location too.

Well that explains why they didn't fingerprint me yesterday… they took a picture instead.
