Is anyone here familiar with the PwC hiring process? Last week I had a screening interview with somebody in HR, and they emailed me Friday saying that my resume was with the hiring manager.

How long should I wait before they call me back, or is this a hint that they aren’t interested in me after seeing my resume?

I'd move on or look for alternatives. Fyi, there are no “hiring managers” at any of the Big4 – offers are tendered by either the partners/principals or directors of the group you're applying to. Moreover, after the phone screenings, if you pass, your resume is usually sent to the team that you'd potentially be working with.

I currently work for a Big 4 and was recently offered senior positions by two competing Big 4s so the experience is quite fresh.

But then again you might be lucky! (it's all luck).

In the email from the recruiter he said that it was sent to the hiring manager. At any rate, you are probably right. I have a job, and am studying for FAR in July, so I probably shouldn't lose much sleep over this. I just was wondering if this was the usual waiting process or not.

@WileyoleYaeger Does your status on the PwC portal say “Initial interest” on the HR status.. If you login to PwC and click on job application status you can see what the HR Status is and it will tell you what's next.

I did not apply online. The recruiter emailed me and asked if I was interested in working with PwC. I had the interview last week, sent him my resume later in the week. We are still within a week of when I had my phone interview with the recruiter. So regarding the ability to go online and check my candidacy, I cannot because I did not apply online.
