PwC New Hire Training Itinerary?

I’m starting at PwC on September 15th, and I believe my training is in Atlanta. I haven’t received any information about the itinerary yet, and I don’t think they’ve completely planned it yet. I’ve noticed that all the start dates are on Thursdays, so I’m curious: What is the usual timetable for orientation/training? Do you do the orientation in your home office, then travel that weekend to the regional training, or is it all at the training location? Is it one week, two weeks?

I’m only asking because my SO is having his white coat ceremony for med school around then (sept 25), and his school is closer to Atlanta than my home office. It would be nice to be able to travel there on the weekend while I’m in Atlanta but I’m not sure if I will still be there.

I am starting at PwC in July. I was told my orientation would be in NYC. Just call the on boarding 1-800 number to find out.

My understanding from my offer is that the PwC On-boarding/New Hire Training is conducted once a month and the location varies. You might be able to work something out to stick around, but you'll probably have to discuss that with the hiring manager or even partner.

I called and they don't have any of the itinerary set yet, because it's still pretty far out. I was just hoping someone who has already done the training could give me some insight. I can just wait until I get more information, but I'm a planner and the uncertainty is killing me! lol

    Thank you for the replies!

I believe you start in your home office on a Thursday – you would go into the local office on Thursday for office orientation, then fly out that night to Atlanta, then Friday would be firm-wide orientation, weekend would be your time to explore the city and do whatever you want, then the following week would be training and you'd fly back home on Friday.

Mine is set-up so that I fly to Atlanta and have training Monday-Wednesday and then local office training Thursday and Friday. Considering we can't apply for an AMEX card until 7/1, I'd say that's about when we'll have an itinerary.
