Question about getting Licence / Certification

I’m from MA and intend to become certified with that board. I met the 150 hour academic requirements to sit for the exam, and have passed all 4. I notice two forms for certification: a Reporting and a “Non-Reporting” licence. The second is for people not meeting 1000 attestation hours, but still requires 1 year of public accounting experience.

My earliest test expires 11/30/12. How does this affect the fact that if i find a public accounting job now, I won’t meet the 1 year requirement till roughly 3/13?

    BEC - 88
    AUD - 69, 74, 93
    FAR - 78
    REG - 79

If you have the 150 credits because you have a MBA or master, you do not need any experience.

If you have the 150 without an MBA/master degree, you need to have 1 year of public experience or 3 of industry experience under direct supervision of a CPA (with current license and at least 5 years of experience).

The expiration date 11/30/12 is for passing all 4 exam parts and not for getting the experience. I think you have a certain number of years.

Check with MA Board of Accountancy.Let me know what you find out. (I'm in MA as well).

If you have a graduate level degree, there is no experience requirement to get a non reporting license. The holder of a non reporting license cannot sign off on financial statements but that is left to the honor of the licensee and otherwise there is no difference.

I believe once you've passed all 4, you have 36 months to get the required attest experience. The expiration of your first test has to do with the window to pass all 4 not the window to be licensed.

did you get your congrad letter yet? can you tell me the process about this? I just passed 4 of all in fen 3, and confussed about the procedure to apply for the license. I already got my MBA degree, so i think i will get the non-reporting license right away.

is the 36 month expire for non-reporting license? i assume that if i got the non-reporting license,it won't get expire even i don't work for the public sector within 3 years.
