Which of the following is not a typical characteristic of a just-in-time (JIT) production environment?
a. Balanced and level workloads
b. Lot sizes equal to one
c. Push-through system
d. Insignificant setup times and costs
The answer is c, which I agree. Can any one explain what is “Lot sizes equal to one”? As English is my second language, I never seen that before. An example would be great. Thanks.
