Question Clarity

    Hi all,

I’ve been doing a ton of questions on the NINJA and Becker’s questions, both sims and MCQ for both.

I was wondering, for those who have taken the exam already, do you feel that the questions on the exam itself offer a little bit more clarity as to what they are asking? I feel as if some of the questions I have been answering, especially in NINJA are a bit vague and I am interpreting the questions in a different way than intended.

Hopefully the vague questions on the exam are the “test” questions, haha.

Just curious as to everyones thoughts on this.

    Thanks.

    FAR - 68, 82
    AUD - 78
    REG - 57, 67, 11/24/14
    BEC - 81

I can't recall a single question that was tricky in terms of not being able to understand what the question is asking.

Getting to the answer is a whole different story, but the questions seemed straightforward IMO. I've taken FAR, REG, and AUD.

REG is something you want to be careful though. What they ask is simple, but it's up to you see what details are important. I don't remember getting a question as tricky as the ones in Becker (although I did have a monster sim that had a trick right at the end that had to do with phaseouts).

The real exam definitely seems better written and vetted than test banks. Even though the test banks are often at least partly built using AICPA released questions, I think those are the ones they have rejected for one reason or another.

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)
