I have noticed (I think) that if I fail a section of the CPA exam, the next time I take the test, it feels considerably harder than the first time. Just wondered if anyone else had an opinion.

Maybe it's because you are more prepared so the testlets get harder?

    A - 75
    B - 78 God is good.
    F - 77 Answered prayers.
    R - 84! Done!!

We had a discussion on this a while ago, and I think the most popular theory was that if you are significantly better prepared for your retake, it is harder because you are doing well. (Do well on testlet #1, and you get a difficult testlet #2, and so forth.)

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

I agree with everyone above. Sounds like you did better this time around and got harder testlets. Which exam are you referring to, by the way?
