I failed BEC once with 73. This time I passed it with a score close to 75. I guess I was lucky. All I felt when I was doing the exam was that there were a lot of questions and concepts not from Wiley BEC book. For example, Wiley BEC doesn’t specifically trains you to calculate GDP (luckily I used BECKER for my 2nd attempt and learned this). Wiley BEC also doesn’t address much about XMTL (in the 2nd exam I took, I had 4 questions about this topic). And in my both BEC attempts, I didn’t have many calculation problems. It made me feel a waste of time to learn and remember all of those formulas.

So here is the question: do you think Wiley BEC is enough for you to pass BEC?

I used Wiley BEC last year and passed first try, no problem. I also didn't encounter anything that wasn't in the material. Could be AICPA added some new stuff this year that Wiley doesn't have, or could just be luck of the draw.

Friendly hint though: edit your post to remove the specific topics and number of questions…I understand your reason for sharing it to show what Wiley was missing in your case, but listing the specific topics and number of questions like that can get you in trouble. 😐

I believe it's always helpful to use 2 test banks to study and practice. Each company has pros and cons, so using two will help to fill in missing gaps.

If you're using Wiley, try substituting with Ninja MCQ. I have not used it myself, but I see that it has great reviews and is available for a good price. Definitely worth the investment for additional practice questions.
