I bought Kaplan CPA Review now I am a little concerned seeing that no one seems to be using it. Anyone used Kaplan and passed? Or anyone have any experience with it?

I purchased all four sections of Kaplan, and have used it to study for BEC and FAR. I passed BEC with it and failed FAR. I felt that it adequately prepared me for both exams. I failed FAR mostly due to getting two hard sims, and not doing well on the writting portion. Plus, FAR is just a beast of an exam. Kaplan gives you a ton of MC questions to work through, and they give you a lot of simulations to work on. The online lectures aren't boring, and it's nice that they give you powerpoint slides to print out and take notes on during the lecture. I'm using Becker to retake FAR (just wanted to see how I would do using a different material, and a lot of people seem to be using it). There isn't a huge difference between the Kaplan and Becker studying material (except the price tag!). There are a few pros and cons for each study material obviously. I've had friends that have used other study materials like Wiley and passed all four parts. I think it's just a matter of getting decent study material and setting out a good study plan and sticking with it. Hope this helps some!

offlineMemberI used Kaplan for BEC. Like Roger, Kaplan is online. Roger speaks in front of a live audience, and Kaplan interacts with the CPA candidates online. Kaplan is nice, but Yaeger is still my #1 course. As I posted before, I use four review courses for each exam, and I vary the review courses for each exam section. Yaeger is the only constant on all four exam sections.
