For those who have taken all of the exams, rank them hardest to easiest. I’m just curious what everyone’s opinion is haha

I've only taken REG so far, but from what I can gather these exams are a crapshoot. My exam, for example, seemed to only test on 10% of the material but be SUPER detailed. It really ticked me off, because I felt like I could have literally not studied the vast majority of the material. I have BEC tomorrow, so I'll know for sure if my theory is correct.

    REG 2/26/14 - 90
    BEC 4/08/14 - 92
    FAR 5/31/14 - 90
    AUD 7/09/14 -

I've taken and passed FAR and AUD and have REG at the end of May. I'd like to hope that REG will be slighly easier than FAR but I'm not counting on it, especially since my job does not involve taxes… sigh.

On paper, it would seem like audit was the most difficult for me since it's the only one I failed. However, I measure difficulty by the amount and magnitude of sleep-inducing content and hair-pulling stress associated with each. With that said…

    Hardest to easiest, IMO:

    FAR – AUD – BEC – REG

Yes…I personally thought Reg was the easiest. Everyone thinks I'm crazy. And no, I don't do taxes for work.

    BEC

    REG

    FAR

    AUD

FAR and REG were about the same for me, but REG have the most ridiculous SIMs.

    REG-89 (08/26/13)
    FAR-91 (10/28/13)
    BEC-87 (11/25/13)
    AUD-96 (01/06/14)

So far I've taken BEC and AUD. I think BEC has been the hardest for me. I'm taking REG next and FAR last. So far studying for REG seems easy, but I've done taxes for 5 year or so.

    AUD - Passed - 82 (10/1/13), Expires 4/1/2015 (57,62,64)
    BEC - Passed - 77 (7/14/14) (53,67,70,74) Half way to CPA!!!!
    REG - Passed - 81 (8/23/14) (68) 3 down 1 to go!!
    FAR - Passed - 75 (11/11/14) I'm DONE!!!!!

I'll give you one better than ranking them–my overall experience.

FAR-studied the longest; lots of material to digest; IFRS, Govt. Accounting, not-for-profit, and GAAP can become confusing learning together because their rules are different in certain circumstances and similar in others; had about 7 minutes to spare when I finished the test; I was the most stressed on this test and thought I failed it.

BEC-alot of formulas to remember, but as long as you write well, the written communications may help bolster your grade

AUD-the material was hard to study because it was by far the driest of them all. MCQ's can be tricky. Most relaxed when taking this test. Very few formulas to memorize.

REG-Business Law is easy; remembering all the rules within rules within rules of tax accounting can be confusing to keep it straight in your head. Phaseouts, floors, corp vs individual taxation can be challenging to memorize.

From hardest to easiest: FAR,REG,BEC, AUD. Although REG and BEC were definitely a close tie.

    FAR 82
    BEC 82
    AUD 93
    REG 87
