    Hey gang,

I’m currently getting ready to re-study for REG and AUD which I failed by a COMBINED 3 POINTS and I took both in May so the material is still relatively fresh. I just took BEC which I couldn’t push back because my NTS was about to expire. Hopefully I have two parts down now.

I’m using Becker and have Ninja Notes to supplement.

What would y’all recommend is the best ways to re-study for past failed parts?

    Thanks in advance!

Start from scratch but don't waste too much time on parts you are strong on. But do not solely focus on the parts you were weak on in the exam, with this exam more than likely your next test will be on something completely different. I'd rewrite NINJA notes over and over and do lots of mcq's.

Thanks for the advice! But by ‘start from the scratch' do you mean re-watch all the videos? I figured I would cut that part out.

I'm taking AUD this month and after that I'm studying to retake BEC. Right now I'm planning on starting like its my first time taking the exam but if I see myself doing well then I'll probably move on to other topics.

    REG - 78
    BEC - 74, 67, 69, 69, 70, 79
    FAR - 76
    AUD - 69, 69, 69, 74, 85

I had to take FAR twice – I did not bother with videos the second time around. I did a TON of MCQs.

I would take a practice exam, see where I was weak, and drill MCQs on that topic. Then take another practice exam, see where I was weak, and drill MCQs on that topic. The full practice exams still had me doing questions over all topics, but I really focused on my problem areas.

I didn't improve that much, but I passed.

Yes like everyone else said, no videos, but do go over everything. This is what I mean by start from scratch.

I watched the videos again, but I used my notes from the first time to follow along, so it didn't take as long. Then I just added info to them the second time. I found this to be very helpful.

Jeff previously suggested to “repeat exactly what you did before PLUS something different and additional. So – make sure you do what you did before *and then some* … different course…more studying…etc.”

    FAR - 1/26/2012 - PASSED (78, but Lost credit), re-do 11/27/2013 - PASSED (87)!
    AUD - EPIC FAIL, 71, 69; 68; 5/25/2013 - PASSED (85)!
    REG - 10/1/2012 - 72; 7/1/2013 - 73 UGH, 10/1/2013 - PASSED (85)!
    BEC - 2/28/2013 - PASSED (82)!
    Licensed CPA!

Used Becker self-study materials (just this for FAR original & REG #1), WileyTestBank, NINJA notes/audio, and Roger cram course for AUD #5, REG #3 & FAR reboot. CPA!
