Pretty much any lengthy question on Ninja MCQ with long calculations I’m getting KILLED on. Financial management, strategic operations, operations management. Cost accounting too. Everything else in BEC I’m pretty good with. I don’t know what to do! My test is on Aug 31st and I don’t feel ready 🙁

I think the best thing you can do is to keep practicing them and working through example problems in your lecture/books.

It's something that I'm struggling with some as well and am trying to nail down which NINJA MCQ's are the calcs so that I can keep practicing them.

    AUD- 95
    FAR- 75
    BEC- 83
    REG- 85

Have you spent enough time trying to understand the fundamental concepts of the different sections? Seems to me as you are moving thru the material too fast, not allowing yourself to learn it.

BEC has plenty of concepts that overlap among the sections. For instance, if you studied enough financial mgmt then you'll see a lot of similar questions in cost, ops…. So your time spent in one section pays dividends in others. For instance, Wacc, IRR, EOQ, JIT,….are just a few topics that show up all over the place.

@czechchamp- I think I have a pretty good grasp of the concepts, but I know I need to spend more overall time in Financial Mgmt and Operations management and I think that will get me a long way. With the calc's I just remember the formulas better when I work through actual problems more.

When I get a calculation-based BEC problem wrong, or if I don't think I'll be able to remember a formula later on, I write out the formula as I go. I find it helps to remember them if I also make up my own numerical example using the formula and solve for it. I have mine on the 31st and feel behind as well. With the randomness of the material, it's like trying to study for 10 different classes at once!
