So, my last exam was AUD on 10/28, and I have had serious lack of motivation for my BEC rematch. I have gotten sick 2 times already this month, which is all thanks to kids in daycare. I did take a couple of days off after AUD to refocuse, but my energy has fallen short this past month. I also have the small destraction of the score release coming up soon. I’m not worried about my AUD score, but really excited to see what the score will be.

Anyone have this happen? What did you do to really kick yourself into gear?

    CPA EXAM: DONE!!!!
    Ethics Course: Passed
    Application Mailed: 3/16/15
    Professional Conduct Exam: 97
    Certification Date: 4/2/15!!!

Good luck, 12/6 is a good day for a retake, I took my audit retake that day last year, and it happens to b e my birthday! I will send you good vibes!

    A - 61, 91!!
    B - 78!
    F - 76!!!
    R - 71, 73, 74, 69, 77!!!!

    Finally done!

This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!

Yes, I've had it happen more than once during this whole process. There are ups and downs, and it's not fun.

I've been sick several times this year and I know it's because of all the worry and stress over exams. On top of that, I just found out from my ENT that this stopped up ear problem I've had for almost 2 whole months is due to clenching my jaws… caused partly by stress.

Then, I start thinking about how hard I've worked so far, and how good it will feel to finally be finished. Think about how bad it feels to fail an exam. Thinking about those things is usually enough to get me to study for another day. Rinse and repeat until it gets you through. You can do it, just hang in there!

I have been feeling the same way. I was super motivated on November 1st when I got my AUD score and found out I only had one more to go. I did all of F1 in Becker that weekend. After the first few days, my motivation completely faded and I am so burned out I have only been able to manage 1.5 hours of the F2 lecture. I REALLY just want to focus and get this done but I am starting to doubt myself with the holidays coming up and work getting busier. I wish I could just MAKE myself have that motivation but I am really struggling.

I feel the same way as you– I have AUD on the 27th and I feel like the last week or two before the exam is the hardest. You feel the pressure of the countdown to the exam, yet you are so exhausted and so bored of studying the same materials over and over again! I just want the exam to be here, but at the same time, I'm like “nooo… I need more time!”

What I do to stay motivated is assign myself very specific study goals for each day for the last two weeks before the exam. That way, I get a sense of accomplishment when I can cross the goals off my to-do list.

    F- 7/13- 84
    R- 10/13- 79
    A- 11/13- 99
    B- 1/14- 86

This exam ALMOST defeated me back in 2006-2008, but I came back and WON!
