Really tim gearity

    Does anyone study when they are mad or just not in a good mood? I think those are the times where you really realize all the things that annoy you about the review program. For me, when I’m mad or in a bad mood some of the things that tim and pete do really annoy me. Here are a few of my qualms with them

    Tim says again like a million times a lecture “and again I want to remind you that, again it important to, again do this”

    A lot of the time Tim just reads out of the book and i end up getting mad thats hes just reading whats on the pages and am forced to fast forward.

    If i actually used the highlighter with Tim my whole book would be yellow. This is one of the reasons i dont use a highlighter, i think he has us highlight almost everything in the book.

    Tim emphasizes things by saying them really loud or making really hard movements with his hands.

    After each breath or after talking, pete smacks his lips. This probably annoys me the most just because he does it after every pause.

    Anyone else have any qualms or things that annoy them about becker or their other review courses.

    I hate that they use the name of a Becker instructor in every example. And for every example Gearity will say their name, where they teach and then say that they're “a real good friend” and give them a shout out….soooo annoying

    Oh and then after every set of multiple choice I hate how he says “I hope you did REALLY well on those”

    I am so glad this thread was made. I share both of your frustrations wholeheartedly–particularly the “highlight everything” philosophy and the “hope you did REALLY well on those,” because many times I do NOT do very well on those because I didn't actually absorb the concept since all I did was highlight the whole page!!

    I was kind of the fence about Tim and Peter until I used Yaeger for REG. Oh lordy it is terrible. There is little to no editing. So when incorrect info is provided instead of cutting that part and re-filming it, He says “not everyone is perfect”. Seriously, I paid good money for this. And I'll attempt to say this in the nicest way possible but Phil needs to buy a better belt. He is constantly adjusting his pants.

    It really made me appreciate Becker.

    There are little things here and there I don't like…I really didn't like Mike who did a few sections of BEC. I used the highlighters to color my nails during those lectures I was so bored! I tried to blame the subject matter though…

    At the end of the day, I like Becker and appreciate the organization and consistency of the lectures and the course…and I have passed BEC and FAR with it!

    Okay scholars, I'm taking FAR tomorrow…..I think the best part, again, will be not hearing Tim Gearity, again, say the word again, again every 5 words he utters, again. To me listening to this guy, again, is even more annoying than studying for 4 months straight, again for about 8-10 hours a day, again.

    After tomorrow I am going to forget everything, sit back and, again, wait for my scores to come in. FAR vs ME, it's going down tomorrow. Let's hope I can slay the beast, again.

    @IwannabeaCPA — Oh my God, are you talking about Mike Potenza or whatever? Watching that guy was tantamount to watching paint dry. The funny thing is, I LOVE Economics and I double majored in Computer Information Systems, yet, after having to review those topics under Mike Potenza's instruction, I was MUCH less interested in the topics.

    I LOVE Cindy at Yaeger, but when she ends a module she says “Bye-bye” and waves. It reminds me of how I talk to my 15 month old.

    Hilarious video!! My biggest motivation to pass is not having to watch those videos ever again, Pete Olinto is awesome but Tim Gearity drives me absolutely insane. I hope you did REALLY well on those ones.

    Tim is sooooi irritating. The “again, and again” KILLS me. Also, I'm pretty sure Tim is going to blow my speakers with one of his random extreme volume fluctuations! Stop yelling!!!
