Review your notes and answer all the MCQs again and again.
work the MCQ's until your eyes bleed... then take a 5 minute break and do them again. I saw a good number of MCQ questions on the test that were word-for-word the exact same as ones in my Becker software.
My last two weeks before REG were actually pretty light. I mostly did progress tests in Becker to stay fresh on the material I had already covered through the classes and the homework. Four and three days before the test I did the two practice exams. Two days before the exam I reviewed notes and re-read areas I missed in the practice tests. Day before exams I try not to study and relax.
thks for all the grear advise on strategy for final 2 weeks to test day.
. what abt bss law. its not working out for me and i feel like it is sucking up my time bcos i actually feel i get the concepts but applying them to the long winding and wordy MCs seems to be a problem ..
what is the max MC's u could do per day?
any strategy to tackle research and the sims in general??????????
My first exam was reg and even though i had a horrible experience the day of the exam i was still able to pass with an 80. I studied for one month and then got a week extension becasue of the snow storm on the east cost. I prepared by watching the Becker lectures and made the highlights they recommend. I then read the Wiley text as a supplement which i found was pretty good. I then tried the hw question for becker and did them all until i scored 100. Thats what i did for every chapter. Coming closer to the exam i watched the lectures again and then did all the supplemental questions for becker. For the simulations i left that until the last week and basically all i did was look at how becker approached them and kept the ideas in my head. I didnt even try any of the simulations on my own. You have to find what best works for you and you have to put in the time. I was studying almost every evening from 10 pm until 2 am. Ill be trying for audit next and hopefully the same strategy i used for reg works for me. Good luck
did lookin at the sims help u on the dY OF THE TEST? i dont have any practice tools for them. any strategy in particular?
so i took reg today - 2nd time taking it...and totally ran out of time. has anyone else in this window had IMPOSSIBLY hard communications on their sims? I totally ran out of time & that has never happened without me being able to guess with 5 min left. it was about a thousand times harder than any exam i have taken
havetopass,
I took REG today. My first WC was actually very, very easy. Definitely the easiest WC I've had out of the 6 I've had to do so far for FAR, AUD and REG. However, the 2nd was was very very hard, and was definitely the most difficult WC I've had out of the 6 I've done.
I did not run out of time though. I spend FOREVER on my WC's (like 30-45 minutes each, on every test I've taken). Even the easy WC I had I still took about 35 minutes on. On the flip side though, I absolutely fly through the MC. I had 1 hour and 50 minutes left today when I was done with the 3 MC teslets. I still almost ran out of time though; I found the answer on the last research tab with under 2 minutes left.
I took my REG yesterday too. AWFUL Simulations! I felt prepared (if that's even possible) when I went into the exam. I thought the MC were harder than the practice ones I had done, but I felt like it was going ok.... then came the simulations. YUCK!
