Hey guys! I’m using the 2011 book for Becker…. Is the 2012 book 8 chapters now? Should I be concerned? I’m planning to use 2011 for feb exam

You should get the updated version for REG. Very critical. Also, there were many flaws in 2011 – updates and revisions. I'm hoping they corrected and improved 2012.

Looks like they just made Business Structures it's own chapter instead of including it in R4. I think you're fine with 2011 materials. No major changes for 2012.

Not only Business Structures was separated as its own chapter, Becker also also provided 2012 updates for 2011 edition materials. So if you manually update your 2011 version, you should be fine.

They made all the sections in Becker 2012 1 chapter longer… They basically just moved some stuff around and added the July 2011 updates they offered for manual download.

What is Becker charging for the updated materials for 2012. If you allready have 2011 do you have to pay full boat for the 2012 books?

Last year those in my firm were allowed to receive the 2011 materials (if you had the 2010 ones) for free if you want the soft copy. If you want the physical books you had to pay shipping and handling which was about $80?

This year they are charging full price (less a past student discount of 50%), so about $650 for the update. Absolutely ridiculous in my opinion, but they claim the $80 update you mentioned was only due to the fact that the 2011 exam was a major change from prior years.

I'm using 2011 REG materials for my retake on 1/30/2012.

They are making so much money! We shouldn't have to pay for an update! That's insane! I'll use the 2011 book since they generally dont test on 2012 stuff in the first 2 quarters.
