Hi all – I just began studying for REG at the beginning of this week and am loosely following the NINJA framework (currently watching Becker videos). I have also read the corresponding NINJA notes & listened to the audio for R1-4, which is the tax portion of REG. I am already feeling so incredibly confused and feel like nothing is sticking at this point. For FAR and AUD, I feel like I understood the material much better after listening/reading NINJA materials but that has not been the case for REG. Any advice on how to study for this test? Like I said, I’m using my Becker program in addition to NINJA audio & notes. I also used the NINJA MCQ for AUD.

I am also feeling slightly burned out. I have been studying non-stop (with 2-3 day breaks after each test) since June. I am definitely in need of some motivation at this point.

It should start to stick as you get into doing the MCQs and practical application. Hang in there!

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

Studying for REG is a beast. I'd say you're not giving yourself enough of a break. Take a week off. You deserve it. Go out and do something fun this weekend. I remember when I was working and studying REG that information just didn't click on some days and I did terrible on a lot of practice quizzes. On days where my mind was functioning it was a lot better. Its definitely something you'll have to look over multiple times since some of the stuff is pretty technical.

I used Gleim only and I felt the questions on the exam were a bit easier than the Gleim questions. I passed with an 87 and I swear its a misprint, but I'll take it! Haha.
