My Regulation credit is expiring on Aug 31st , and i have FAR left to take. Do i need to pass the FAR exam or sit for the FAR exam as on 31st Aug to avoid losing the credit for regulation ?

You have to sit for FAR and pass FAR on or before 8/31 to keep your REG credit. Good Luck!!!

Thanks Kricket. So if i give my exam on 28th i will get the results after 31st , is that okay? Sorry am bit confused and nervous, so i just want to make sure i understood it right.

You don't have to receive the score by the expiration date, you just have to sit for it by then. As long as you pass it when the scores come out and you sat for it by the expiration date you will be good to go.

I just asked this question to NASBA today as my audit score expires 11/30/14 and I have to take all the remaining sections. The representative I spoke to suggested taking your test one day before the section expires just to be safe. I was so happy to hear that as I need all the time I can get!

It's going okay. It's a lot of memorization and I'm having difficulty with that, but I'm hoping to at least remember enough to pass. taxes and BLaw were my least favorite subjects. I should have taken REG first.

@pia ach If I were you I would try to take the exam a couple of days prior to the expiration date just to be on the safe side. My AUD score would have expired on 1/31/2013 and I took FAR(my final part) on 1/28/2013 and passed. Cutting it close!!
