    I’m studying for REG right now and cant seem to focus. There are so many little details and rules that you have to memorize. With FAR, if you understand it, you’ll be good to go….I feel like dying w/ REG now. I have 5 more weeks and still have tons of stuff to cover :(((….ARGHHH

    FAR 5/14 88 PASSED!
    REG 7/13 74 :((((((((....! I cant believe it!!!! I studied so hard...
    REG retake 11/29 -> 89!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    BEC 10/11/12 -> 84!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    AUD 10/25/12 -> 95!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I'm DONE! OMG 8 months of hard work.

    I SHALL PASS. BECAUSE IT'S ME, SO EVERYTHING WILL BE OK!

    for me and a lot of people on the forums REG is the hardest exam of the 4. It's a complete BEAST.

    FAR 88 - BEC 86 - AUD 90 - REG 85

    I'm on R3 in Becker and so far i'm feeling the exact same way.

    FAR 93
    AUD 89
    REG 81
    BEC 87
    Ethics 100

    REG is a BEAST! I completely agree with you guys. I don't think FAR is as hard as REG, FAR just has a crap ton of materials. FAR=A mile wide, and inch deep. REG=An inch wide, but a mile deep! Becker does a great job with REG, but if you're looking for some extra MCQs, I stronggggly recommend Wiley—it bumped my score drastically

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

    I'd rather have to pass FAR 5 times than pass REG once.

    REG blows. FAR if you understand the concepts then you can figure out any problem but with REG there are so many dang rules to memorize that it gets ridiculous.

    @chrisbrown3- Yeah, there is a lot of rules to memorize in REG. And what makes it worse, 95% of that stuff you memorize will not show up on the actual exam.

    Well for me… I think that FARE and REG are the easiest ones… I studied for FARE for 5 week and passed on my first attempt. For REG although I did not pass in my first attempt; I covered everything only once and got out with a 70. Aaaaaand I could not have been given a better test! I was so mad that I didn't have time to cover everything twice or thrice. I would have killed it… But I think I won't have any problems second tine around.

    B - 62, 70, 72, 79!!!
    A - 68, 81
    R - 70, 82
    F - 84

    @CPAman: then what will show up in the exam? You make it sound like nobody should study because nothing you know will b on the exam and it's your luck to pass.

    I doubt it!

    FAR 5/14 88 PASSED!
    REG 7/13 74 :((((((((....! I cant believe it!!!! I studied so hard...
    REG retake 11/29 -> 89!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    BEC 10/11/12 -> 84!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    AUD 10/25/12 -> 95!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    @forever- You read my post all wrong. I actually meant the opposite. When I said 95% will not show up, I meant that you will get heavily tested on the 5%. What will that 5% be? There's no way to know. Each exam is completely different. So you MUST study everything. In fact, I think REG is the one part where I think people should not leave any stone unturned. It's such a detailed exam. If something is covered in your book, even if it's just in one or two sentence, know it well!!! You can get a detailed question on anything.

    I def. find FAR harder. Though it took me three tries to pass REG (because of my laziness, and skipping lectures), it made sense after awhile. Like everyone said, go over everything, don't skip anything. Don't waste your time in memorizing exemptions amount, just know that there is an exemption.

    I used Becker and Wiley testbank (only for tax portion). I read each chapter at least twice, and did all the MCQs/SIMs in Becker 3-4 times while did all the tax related MCQs/SIMs in Wiley at least once.

    Though majority of reviews & people say tax is heavily tested while B-law is 20% of the grade. However, that doesn't hold true for each test. Study both and give all topics an equal importance. You never know what you will get tested on (as CPAman pointed it out).

    Wiley testbank is great for Tax while Becker does great job with B-law.

    Good Luck!!

    @cpaman: gotcha. I'm just really sick of studying for REG :(. Far seems to be more interesting. Well, actually idk lol…I still have 3 more exams and already feel like blahhh. I dont even know why i'm taking this exam lol. ARGHHH

    For some reason, I think REG sims would definitely b harder than FAR.

    FAR 5/14 88 PASSED!
    REG 7/13 74 :((((((((....! I cant believe it!!!! I studied so hard...

    @forever4

    Not sure what to say, I have failed both…look at my scores. The only thing that I can recommend is to go thru the lectures twice and work lots of MCQ's. For FAR freaked out during the exam, so I think that's why I failed with a stupid 74. For REG I got a 70, I walked out feeling great and look at my score. I guess REG SIMS eventhough are all tax related there is an “unpredictable factor”.

    @jokami,

    What is your re-study plan? I am going thru Becker lectures and MCQ's, will work Wiley testbank, and want to add a CRAM but still undecided between Roger or Yaeger.

    Good Luck to all!!!

    I thought I failed REG, but I ended up getting an 83. I do agree it sucks to nit pick what you need to know, but I did it in three weeks w/ Becker, but didn't do the Becker simulations as practice.

    To someone above who said you don't need to know the exemptions, I would disagree. I think it's an easy way for points.

    Good luck!
