Just started REG recently and I am already overwhelmed. This is my last exam so I am hoping it REG clicks soon. Anyone felt the same and had it click soon after?

Every single time I felt overwhelmed, I would take a break and get away from the books. Then I would go back and do MC questions until my hands hurt.

It's a wonderful feeling to get into the Prometric center and know the answer to a question(s) before you even read the answers.

Same as what Tripp11 said! If you get overwhelmed, take a mental break. Every single exam I get overwhelmed. I start thinking I don't know nearly enough and want to panic. So I walk away from it for a bitt. Then come back and start at it again. You can do it!!

    BEC - 87!
    FAR - 83!
    AUD - 80!
    REG - 76!

It's taking quite some time for REG to click for me. Im sure everyone on this forum can relate.

When I first started looking at REG, it all seemed so foreign coming off of FAR and AUD. AUD had a lot of FAR concepts mixed in and I had just finished my Auditing class for my credits requirement so it was very familiar. Now that I've read through all of the CPA Excel material and about 3/4 of the way through the WTB, it's definitely clicking. It takes about 20-30 questions into any set of questions to really start sinking in though. So it may not even click until you start the MCQ if you go my route (read material then MCQ).

    FAR: 4/19/2014 - 85!
    AUD: 5/27/2014 - 90!
    REG: 7/18/2014 - 81!
    BEC: 8/13/2014 - 84!

It did not click soon after, try way WAY after. I am in my final 2 days and some things are just clicking now. Ha! Keep at it, there is a light at the end of the tunnel 🙂

    BEC: 73, 81
    AUD: 85
    FAR: 71, 77
    REG: 74, 75...finally DONE! 😀

*This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently 🙂

Thanks guys. I just finished r2 and so far so good. I am going to try and absorb as much as I can during the lectures and really go hard on the mcqs. The mcqs is where I usually learn the most so hopefully that stays true for REG.

@ReadyToGraduate how was the REG exam for you? Any advice?

First time taking REG and I believe I did a perfect test. I am expecting a 99 this time. I am certain of it. All perfect on the MCQ, all perfect on the SIM. There is no possibility that I would receive a lower score….right??????

@jfernandes256 the MC testlets weren't that hard at all really. it was the stuff you expect, a nice variation of all the topics. But just like everybody else is basically saying: the SIMS are ridiculous. They were on things I didn't even study that hard because they were really out of left field. It's hard to really explain without giving it away haha. Just keep studying and give yourself PLENTY of time to use the research/IRC options to try and help you get through the SIMS. I spent about 1.5 hours on that part.
